Rafa had it susses, and had good balance up top - Rondon strong leading forward, then Perez and Almiron to play behind in half spaces, but also move back into the wide midfield spots. Along with instructing and coaching 2 in midfield to actually pivot for each other higher up the pitch to rotate the ball around. Then center backs that we're able to play into midfield, and behind opposition midfield/into the forwards without resorting to kicking it as far as they can. We can't play 433, or even a 4231 - we've no creative/attack minded midfielder that is good centrally. Only viable set up is a 442/4411. It's all superfluous anyway as by the time the game reaches the 80th minute and he's made his masterful substitutions, we're usually playing 2-3-4-1 or summat daft.
