Sorry if already posted - but didn’t we have the same issue at the beginning of the season with info not being passed correctly?

A basically identical thing happened in Bruce's first game at the beginning of last season.

Don’t know who to really point the finger at, but Shelvey should have been shouted at to slow down on the FK.

Ultimately it’s a collective of having no leadership on or off the pitch.

Shelvey should have slowed down on the FK. He should be able to think for himself on that, and gauge what’s going on around him that there’s a change of system/personnel. Yet he’s thick as pigshit, however he should have been told by Lascelles, Ritchie coming on, Bruce/Jones.

That’s the start of the mess, once ball is in play you can’t expect Murphy to go from LW to RB. Ritchie is the only one that knows the instructions, change of system, he knows that it should be a back 5. He’s on that right side, but happy to allow Hayden to do a job at RB in a four. Especially when it goes over to Wolves right side, Ritchie should be filling in at RWB until it can all be sorted.

This amateur hour stuff just suits him to the ground. Hard to imagine it happening to a manager that isn’t so hands off, and controls the tactical direction of the side. He just leaves coaching and tactical planning to Jones and the Steve’s, so it’s to be expected that same lack of influence/leadership in on-pitch matters translates into every player thinking for themselves, and this sort of disorganised clusterfuck.

Yep, absolutely spot on. The arrival of Jones obviously brought with it some improvements, because it clearly gave the whole team a shot in the arm (consider the performances at Sheff Utd and Arsenal compared to the one at Everton). But now that bounce has settled, it's so clear that there's no set direction and a lack of clarity about who's pulling what strings.

As a fanbase we're well versed in watching plots being lost. We know what it looks like. It happened with Souness, Allardyce, Pardew multiple times (somehow he managed to salvage things every time, to the great frustration of us all), McClaren never really had the plot... and now it's happening here. Nobody playing for one another, massive fitness issues, confusion on the pitch a regular occurrence, bad results.

It's so obvious that the current regime, the whole picture, means the ceiling is lower mid-table. And we're expected to just blindly keep following this pointlessness. Absolutely desperate situation.

I think this morning it’s actually dawning on people now that we’re going down. A few have been in denial for the last few weeks but there’s no way to shine any positivity on it now. ASM out, and even when he’s back it’ll take him a few games to get into his stride. Has Almiron been injured yet since he’s been here? He’s been kicked about yes but we don’t have a gauge on how he’ll return. Same with Wilson, he’s going to lack sharpness.

Where are the goals coming from?

We had a better chance with the squad we had in 2016

WBA will be another digusting Sheff U style 1-0 away defeat IMO. He'll bring back Hendrick and Carroll, because as we know these shit PFM types "lean on experience" when they're in the shit, i.e. go for your cloggers rather than anyone with any talent, pace, skill etc.

"I was so confident of keeping Newcastle up until we hot those injury, it really was the killer blow, however we need to dust ourselves down and with a bit of luck we'll get out of the championship"

Can't wait to hear him bigging up Lincoln City and explaining that we're everyone's cup final, as we're languishing in 16th place by December.

‘Some support...’

Key word some. Not much, barely any at all. But let’s focus on the small degree of support and ignore the vast accurate populist opinion that he shouldn’t spend a second longer in the job, and should have been sacked weeks ago.

2 wins in 17 man, and he’s writing bollocks like ‘some support’.

Coward.
