mrmojorisin75
So putting Norwich aside (early days like, but I think mackems will get more than them so we need to come above them. And mackems GD is probably too much to catch if they have good run-in). So from our 4 games: Liverpool away Palace home Villa away Spurs home we need to get 2 more points than Sunderland get from their 5 games Arsenal home Stoke away Chelsea home Everton home Watford away I'm inclined to think they'll get a lot of points from that - 3 homes games. They haven't lost a lot recently. But in reality this is a team that have gotten 2 points in their last 3 home games against Leciester (okay, good team), but also West Brom and Crystal Palace. I can't help but feel they'll do well, but look at it rationally, it's fucking on man. We're by no means favourite, but both these teams are definitely catchable in 4 games with the fixtures we have. Still can't see anything but the mackems finishing above us from that lot unless we win 3 from 4 or something.
Varadi
I reckon we'll beat Spurs on the last day if we have to. Especially if the title's gone, which is very likely. Really? What am I missing? Leiecester look to be wobbling, Vardy banned and Spurs absolutely flying, think it's very unlikely they'll be more than 3 points ahead before the final game. Spider Jerusalem
Still on a 10. Got to get into title / European qualification form and this bunch will fail to turn up for one or both of the matches against Palace and Villa.
LV
I don't think the Villa game will be that straightforward. They are relegated already and the pressure will be off them. I've seen it time and again where teams who have been losing all season start winning matches once their relegation has been confirmed.
James
I can see confidence returning to the side, and I think having Dummett, Tiote and Colback back and replacing Janmaat for Anita has made a huge difference to the solidity of the team. We have as good a chance as any and have really turned the heat up on Sunderland and Norwich.
JH
From a 9 to an 8.9. It'll drop dramatically if we get something from Saturday. We still need an 'unlikely win' as well as beating Palace and Villa.
nufcjb
For me, it now depends on the mackems slipping up. Have a feeling they'll rough up Arsenal and atleast get a point. The Watford and Everton games are wins for them if those two don't turn up. We really need to be atleast level on points with them by 5pm Saturday. Robster
It's torture this. Although I was pissed off, life was simpler when I accepted certain relegation.
The College Dropout
9. Need to beat Liverpool away or Spurs at home & beat both Palace & Villa. Don't see it. Gini sliding it under Hart would've made a massive difference.
Guest
We could really do with Palace beating Watford I guess. Means that it's us playing the team with one eye on the Final rather than Norwich & Sunderland, and Watford not protecting themselves in the league for the cup. The College Dropout
Everton and Watford is a minimum of 4 points for both our rivals.
Lush Vlad
Still at a 9. I said anything last night would have been a bonus. As I expected a defeat and our goal dif to take a hefty whack. I think we'll beat Palace and Villa. Who knows against Spurs?! It all depends on whether they have anything left to play for. Either way, it will be a hard game. I just worry about the mackems. They have a far better goal dif, and I don't think their fixtures look particularly hard. I could easily see them getting another couple of wins. Everton, Watford and Stoke, are all winnable games, for them. If they get another 6-7 points, it would probably mean we're goners. As I don't see us getting anything on Saturday and the Spurs game is going to be incredibly difficult. We need Arsenal to sort out their shit and hammer them on Sunday. At least we've given ourselves a chance, though. I thought we were dead and buried, after Norwich.

sbnufc
Fucking Spurs game on the last day is the problem now. I just had a look at a scenario that would see us safe before the last game, this is it: Liverpool v Newcastle - Draw Newcastle v Palace - Newcastle Villa v Newcastle - Newcastle Sunderland v Arsenal - Arsenal Stoke v Sunderland - Draw Sunderland v Chelsea - Chelsea Sunderland v Everton - Draw Arsenal v Norwich - Arsenal Norwich v Man Utd - Man Utd Norwich v Watford - Draw Would be: Newcastle 36 Sunderland 32 Norwich 32 That's the dream
Nexumaster
We're still due to go down in my eyes, it's all a bit late for us. I can't see the likes of Watford or Everton putting up much of a fight, that's what will be the kicker - easy points for Mackems and Canaries. STM
There will be a few twists and turns yet mind. Never works out how you would expect.

Seems a bit harsh on the other two clubs in hindsight.
The College Dropout
We'll need a WIN against Liverpool or Spurs imo. Right now they are the 2 best teams in the country. Upside is Liverpool will rest players and Spurs might have nothing to play for................. or get nervy.
Varadi
It's going to be so close. The mackems are fighting but still ultimately shite - they don't have any games you would put as bankers, we're just depending on Everton and Watford turning up against them, plus Arsenal not doing an Arsenal and shitting themselves against a physical side.... AyeDubbleYoo
I think it's more likely that we will beat spurs at home than Liverpool away. Normally I would agree, but their team might be very much beatable.
Ketsbaia
Stoke, Chelsea, Everton & Watford is a great run of games for the mackems. Each is very winnable right now - I can see at least 2 happening.
GM
I can't help feeling that relegation is nailed on. In some ways, it might be for the best. There's no chance that Rafa is staying on beyond the end of this season in any case. Ashley wouldn't want to have to invest properly. Might as well get relegated and accept this club's destiny.
