In a weird way the injuries might play into our favour for the West Brom gams.

A forced 4-4-2 with Murphy and Fraser on the wings, Haydon and Willock in the middle and the old fashioned Big man / Little man combo upfront with Gayle and either of AC or Joelinton.

No frills, nothing clever. Plays right into Bruce's hands and a direct approach like this might not be the worst thing in the world against a Big Sam team.

Of course this all falls apart when Bruce sticks Haydon at RB, Ritchie at RW, Shelvey in the middle then tries to be clever to with 2 false 9's

Southampton got to be in danger of getting dragged in. Got some quality in them but form absolutely awful, worse than ours or anyone's. 4 points ahead of us.

That’d require us to win two games.

There’s only 12 games left and we’ve only won two out of the previous 15. We’ve also had the ‘new hidden manager bounce’ after Jones came in.

With the injuries to ASM, Miggy and Wilson we’ll be lucky to reach two more wins.

The only way we’re staying up this season is if Bruce is sacked.

By the time they and Wilson are back it might be too late by then.

I’ve thought for weeks now that the goal difference between us and Fulham will come into play by last day of season.

We could be 3 points down needing a 6-0 win.

We're basically relying on our ability to get some draws in the next few weeks before those 3 come back and get us the 2 or 3 wins we'll then need to stay up.

Don't see it personally, think this is us done. Potentially even if we now chop Bruce.

Run of fixtures when they're due back is grim anyway - Spurs, Burnley, West Ham, Liverpool, Arsenal, Leicester & City. Next 3 games are key, and we're missing our only 3 goal threats. Game over, man.

That's devastating, like.

We can't beat West Brom with Fraser-Gayle-Joelinton. Didn't think there was ever a chance against Villa or Brighton, so we're banking on their return bringing a home win vs West Ham, Spurs or Arsenal.

I think Fulham will stay up comfortably now, for them it was all about turning draws into wins and they’ve started to do it.

We are in a direct showdown with Brighton and Burnley. Brighton look vulnerable but that could change if they beat us

How many games will they actually miss because we do have the 2 week international break coming soon.

If they're back at the very start of April:

07.03.2021 West Bromwich Albion (a)

12.03.2021 Aston Villa (h)

20.03.2021 Brighton (a)
