Jinky Jim
The NCSL is just a side act to all of this to keep pressure on without the consortium being back in the mainstream media. The letter NCSL sent (with legal help) to the PL cost just shy of £50k. 2 blokes in their bedroom cant afford all this on their own, they’re being “helped” by people on the buyers side. The guy I get my info from has got a lot of fingers in a lot of pies and knows a lot of interesting people. The confidence from my source is from the buying side, all of whom have a lot of confidence in this being passed. Much more they had in fact before the previous debacle. Mimms
Think I said few weeks ago that PIF wanted it done before December, mainly because they don’t want to fall behind and lose out on yet another transfer window. With the confidence of the lawyers and slight persuasion by the rest of the consortium the were happy to knock that December deadline on the head. There was potentially news being reported within 7 to 14 days, although they are still deciding on wether to put something out there. - This is what I didn’t want to say a few days ago, if nothing comes out then people on here call me a fraud and I’m making stuff up but we shall see. From what I’ve been told I don’t think they will say anything quite yet, I hope I’m wrong though.

Yorkie
Keeping the consortium out of the media has to be a very smart move, given its perception within the media definitely helped the PL pursue their agenda. They rode on the waves of anxiety about piracy and human rights.

How can they possibly have more confidence than when they said "its a matter of days away". 6 months ago. That line is an obvious lie. While everyone would like to believe what these "sources" are hinting at, their track record is abysmal. Why should we believe these people now, honestly? All I can see is them pulling out of legal action citing time constraints or some other excuse (they've already laid the groundwork for this). I'd be amazed if this goes anywhere. Ashley17
The sources can have all the confidence going but it’s pretty much out of the buyers’ hands. It’s the PL that need convincing and if you had Di Marco fighting your corner, wouldn’t you be confident?

It’s the PL that need convincing and if you had Di Marco fighting your corner, wouldn’t you be confident? I can understand people being pessimistic it’s in our DNA, however I agree with you these people are major players with the finance, political influence and now the best legal counsel representing them. I’m cautiously optimistic, and think everything mimms has said ties in with Liam Kennedy’s ‘join the dots’ quote.

Robster
I think it's reasonable to say that this is our best shot at selling the club and finally getting rid of Ashley. If this effort fails, he really is here until the day he dies. And knobheads liken Penn/IMTTS wonder why people are clinging onto any crumb of hope that they can lay their hands on. If this effort fails, he really is here until the day he dies. And knobheads liken Penn/IMTTS wonder why people are clinging onto any crumb of hope that they can lay their hands on. I don’t think that’s true, he’s a willing seller now and yeah we have or had a suitable buyer. There will be others. The difference before was that he didn’t really want to sell and the people attempting to buy had alternative agendas buy being public about it. I think that nobody else is coming to the table right now is due to not having the clout to compete with PIF, which also could mean they are still very much looking to invest. I'd love you to be right but I think Ashley's asking price is the problem with regards to alternative buyers. I'm not convinced there's anyone out there that would be prepared to pay it. Hopefully, we'll not be in a position to find out.

Stifler
I think we’ll find out one way or another the final outcome soon, before Christmas, possibly sooner. I’d say it is more likely to go through than not.
