Would be a lot worse if he missed the training building up to this. Its a shitter not having him there on person but his team can take care of the sidelines and he will be there virtually.

 

Howe projected via zoom on the big screen for a pre match message to the crowd? They better! Better still have a giant Howe all the way through on the big screen yelling at the players through the PA! "THIS ISN'T A CRITICISM JONJO, IT'S JUST A DIFFERENT WAY OF WALKING. FUCKING RUN"

Going to be awkward not being able to view the game, as it's not televised for him to be able to watch. I'm assuming he's isolating in his hotel digs?

Plenty of countries telecast the full range of matches. I'm sure that he will be able to find a way to watch it live.

Wasn't Shelvey lampooned by the tabloids about six or seven years ago for putting an ad out for a live-in "cook", probably a sports nutritionist, on something like fifty grand a year? He said it was because he didn't know how to eat properly on his own. 

 

Top clubs famously have fixers to help players with all kinds of mundane daily activities. Stuff like getting a mobile phone. Diet will be hyper complex compared to some of the tasks done for them.

 

As with ASM running into blind alleys when faced with no other option, Shelvey would be far more effective when there are runners ahead of the ball, not just a static forward's head to aim at.

There's been a bit of noise on twitter and YouTube around teenagers blocking cars in and out of the training ground. 

 

The club should sort this out, could be the reason the manager has picked up covid, and possibly players becoming infected in the future if they stop for people.

From what I've seen Eddie had been getting out of the vehicle every night and getting photos and signing autographs, some players also stopping for the same without a mask in sight. Can't really blame the guy as can't be seen ignoring fans when just in the job but that's most likely where he has caught it

It's a good excuse to say no though, look what its cost us, were in a relegation battle here, and the manager is down and cant make contact with the team for 10 days now. They really need to tell people to stay away, no wonder Maximin told a yob to piss off.
