Holmesy
If it’s Martinez I’ll get behind him. He’s 100 times the manager Bruce is. Given some of the names mentioned, it would be underwhelming but look where we are in the league and look at our squad! Maybe the top guys don’t want to come just yet. Personally, I think it’s likely just people lumping on Martinez because Jones has said he’s staying regardless and they’re putting 2+2 together. Strawberry
Sky Bet and couple of others has Unai Emery as odds on favorite and no one is commented about it. Emery could thick lots of boxes and he could be the one.
mrmojorisin75
were arsenal solid under emery? can't really remember anything about his time, probably cause i'd given up on football

wormy
I really wish people would stop referring to the next manager market odds like it means anything. jackyboy
Please, not Martinez. He has a poor track record apart from his time with Belgium. That was helped in no small way by having some of the world's top players at his disposal, DeBruyne, Hazard,Lukaku etc
BigValley
Sometimes It is to mutch i think. I am a happy man anyway. Ashley gone and Bruce is gone. This for me is enough. IF Favre, Potter, Martinez or some Else, they will get my Howay. The owners have told many times this will take time. I Just se forward some years and i am happy what ever happens. Sima
Even his time in Belgium is shite. For him not to take that squad to a tournament final is a complete failure.

Lots of possible ways this things might go.

I can't answer for anyone else but I've personally not reacted to the Martinez rumours because of the odds. I don't want him, and haven't from the start. Wouldn't have even wanted him under Ashley. The amount I don't want him doesn't change whether he's 40/1 or 4/1.

SUPERTOON
Also don’t think the main quality the new manager should possess is that he’s simply better than Bruce. Literally loads of managers are doesn’t mean they are good enough.

New Beginnings
Its going to be Martinez isn't it Announced before Brighton. Jones to take charge over international break with Martinez away. Underwhelming to say the least! Edited October 30, 2021 by New Beginnings

Good question actually, I just hope any appointment is a manger good enough to keep us up this season and then have us pushing up the table over the next couple of years and I don’t think Martinez will achieve either of those. Out of all the names linked I have no issue giving anyone a go other than him and Lampard. That’s not to say I won’t get behind them I just have massive concerns about both.
