I would however delay contract negotiations until January as there's enough going on and he has part of the season to prove fitness longer term. His wage couldn't have been high to start off with (like has to be below £100k), so if we can get him tied down on similar wages that takes him up to his 30, that's a good deal. Think even if he turned into a bit of a stop start injury CB, he's depth in quality over rest of this decade for the wages he'd be on, would be very hard to match.
