Sounds harsh in alot of ways on Wilson but he can't be relied upon to be fit for enough games. Would be difficult to turn down a solid offer for Wilson I would think. Thats signings at CAM, ST, CB and CDM. 4 new signings all with far more quality than we already have yet not an entire upheaval of the squad. Lose the deadwood, Clark, Lewis, Hayden, Fernandez, Gayle and Ritchie (Dummett maybe) Keep Elliot Anderson in the squad and perhaps bring in another youngster or 2. There’s also Charles de Ketelaere from Bruge who is a highly rated young striker. I think wages would prove an issue with him as he’s already on £50k a week at Lyon, if he’s happy with us doubling that then it’s possible but generally I think his agent would be haggling for more. McCormick Posted April 19, 2022 Share Posted April 19, 2022 Paqueta is lush but, if I’m honest, if we’re only getting one big money midfielder I’d rather have someone more sturdy ala Philips or Sangare. Harsh on Joelinton (and possibly Willock) but in an absolute dreamworld we’d have a midfield 3 of: Paqueta Philips and Bruno. Never gonna happen but man that would be crazy.
