I feel like the major issue will be wages at NUFC vs accepting something elsewhere with a newly promoted club. Then again, Colback is a starter for Forest so I may be wrong.

I think there will be plenty of interest for the players we're looking to shift. We don't really have any Rodwells, our unwanted players pretty much all will be seen by other clubs as being good solid pros who aren't quite up to the level we're aiming for. We might have to subsidise some wages a bit but I think there'll be plenty of takers for all of the players we want rid of.

Um ... so whatever you do, do not watch the 'Amadou Haidara - High Level of Technique' video on youtube, or you will not be able to get over this guy. My God!

Exactly that, its so hard to judge attacking players. Sancho was one of the best players in the league and he has not replicated it at Man United.

He's been used terribly at Man U mind. He was always at his best when played as a pure right winger. Both England and Man Utd seems to have been obsessed with shoe horning him on the left. His best attributes are his pace and crossing/passing, both of which aren't as useful as a right footed player playing on the left.

Peak age range for goalies and centre backs seems a bit young!

And midfielders - arguably Kevin De Bruyne is at his peak and he's 30.

Sancho was great cutting in from the left for Dortmund.

He was great on the right when he had Hakimi making overlaps 20 times a game.

After Hakimi left Sancho played on the left loads. With Guerreiro behind him Sancho had to do lots of the defending too as Guerreiro is rarely interested in that sort of thing.

Having a chat with a mate earlier and it's interesting that the best players in the world are all well into their 30s. De Bruyne is comparatively young in many respects.

Interesting to see the impact sports science is having on the game now even from 8-10 years ago.

Same, Gayle and Ritchie for example will be easy. Any championship side will take both tbh and probably great signings for that club.

Think the issue is going to be whether there are any Championship clubs that would pay them what they're getting here. Need to hope they want to leave to play regular football, rather than just wait it out till their contract expires.

Yeah, the treatment of injuries and the science behind physical preparation has improved immensely.

Also, younger players in the top teams face more difficulty in establishing themselves. That could mean that some of them don't get over-played, and reap the benefits later. Examples of the reverse are Rooney and Wilshere.

I watched a bit of the tennis yesterday, with Nadal at 36, outpacing a good 25 year old opponent in Zverev. Who knows what's possible in the future.

Is it just me or do all the NUFC journos seem like they’re away? Very quiet at the moment.

I imagine this period before the window is actually open is the only time they felt like they could get away for some time off without missing too much.

They've had 28 consecutive transfer windows when they could've safely gone away at any point they liked.

Interesting way to look at the squad, quality aside we've got a lot past their peak and not enough coming through or at it.

Did they just move the red blocks to suit a narrative.

Is a cbs peak from 25 to 28?

What is actually involved when it says ‘continue talks’ anyway? How far beyond, ‘will you accept £5m up front and £15m instalments’…’how about £10m and £18m instalments’ can these things go?

Gayle they will as he's pretty much guaranteed to score 20 goals, Ritchie maybe slightly less so.

Well it's obvious that fuck all is happening and the journos are just filling their columns with the same regurgitated crap. Henderson being an easy one.

Sorry if Giggs.

We’ve been told €60m or nothing. Hopefully they take the nothing option on this occasion.
