Hugo Ekitike (not playing for Liverpool for a while)

Fuck me some of the rubbish spouted on here! Not a single one of you has any idea what is going on behind the scenes at the club! If you do? Provide the real evidence?

If a poster on here is sharing something they've heard from a reliable source, I'm 100% certain that they're sharing it in good faith and not doing it for the sake of attention seeking or shit stirring like the gimps you see on twitter

your post assumes normal circumstances, the reality is that Liverpool will rightfully get a PSR exemption from the PL to sign one striker so it won’t affect their other negotiations

I'm not interested in Liverpool's PSR and don't see it as relevant for the fees Liverpool pay. My point is that they have themselves jacked up the Ekitike to LFC price to the full release clause. They have done it by not buying him earlier and by telling all and sundry that they have enough money to buy Isak. Our folks have mentioned many times that we face a "Saudi tax", people expect high fees from NUFC because we are seen as loaded. Liverpool by themselves have just announced "WE ARE LOADED". That's not how you get Ekitike, or Guehi or anyone on the cheap. I am interested in the fees Liverpool pay, not their PSR, because Liverpool are constantly described as "well run" and "shrewd". We are constantly described as overpaying, for Tino, Hall, Gordon, and of course Isak himself. All of these lads are now worth a fortune.

My advice would also be to make signings feel wanted and not go around telling everyone, including your fans, they are your second choice. The mental side of football is huge.

Again, what is the reliable source directly in the club and what is the evidence! Also the same people on twitter are posting on here!

Burnsie’s about 75% of the ITK NUFC accounts on Twitter and he’s banned from here.

Liverpool is the most gossipy city on Earth, so I'm taking all this conspiracy stuff with a few tons of salt.

The crunch time will come at the end of this season, when Isak has two years left on his contract. Depending on how the team does, he'll either sign a new one or go. I also think his true value is way north of the £120m that Liverpool are supposedly offering. He offers a unique package and there will be plenty of clubs after him.

Isak and Ekitike can both play wide, as a number 10 and as a central striker, so their interplay might be great to see. They could be an absolutely lethal combination.

It's one of those where his value to us is greater than his value to someone else.

A non-footballing example would be selling my house - I don't really want to sell it. It has an objective "value" but selling it for that doesn't appeal because firstly, I don't want to move and secondly, if I did sell it I'd have to go through all the carry-on of moving/buying a new place. The Bruno situation last summer was another example - his value to Man City for example was considerably lower than his value to us, so they never got close to his release clause.

Good plan. Drowns out the high pitched whine and quickly gets rid of any nasty  Carragher-clemmy which could be launched your way.

Maybe we didnt even want to sign Ekitike. We just wanted to fly him in and tell everyone we had to evacuate the medical in fear of his knees exploding and that noone should even consider signing him even on FIFA (as a petty revenge for him rejecting us ofc)

Liverpool taking it all too seriously again

Liverpool fans are going to be cringey as fuck when we play them at Anfield aren't they [emoji38]

They’ll do their usual karaoke followed by silence for 90 minutes, no doubt.

In all depends on what conversations came first. As usual you have to assume the media are days/weeks behind or just flat out making things up.

But if the Isak conversations came before we bid for Ekitike then that would make a lot more sense and essentially show we were trying to cover our arse if the prospect of Isak going this summer is real.

However I do believe that the club have likely been telling teams he's not for sale unless a silly offer comes in (something north of £150m atleast?  Liverpool trying at 120m is just them trying to get to the table to begin discussions.
