I'm going to take SUPERTOON's advice to lighten the mood.

So this was the first account on the Ekitike stuff:

"Newcastle United will present an improved offer for Hugo Ekitiké to #Eintracht tomorrow. An offer that Markus Krösche demands and will accept! Documents for the medical check are already prepared. Private jet is booked, everything could be finalized by Friday."

It's almost certainly nonsense, but with Liverpool sniffing round Isak and the ginger Guttuso off, it's worth a post.

626 followers but one of them is Douglas..

It could make some sort of sense - we bid for Ekitike, gets rejected. We then go back to sort out a deal with Leeds for Longstaff which gives us that extra 60m PSR buffer which means we can then go back in for Ekitike and up the offer without screwing up the CB/GK plans. Maybe.

Aye, for all the Liverpool talk the accounts that have actually broke this and seem to have some ties to Frankfurt have only claimed we are involved and his agent has been over here to sort terms out.

Since it was revealed Barca were paying Fab trillions of pounds to spread bullshit it's hard to believe any respected journalist (like Ornstein) isn't now doing the same.

This could all literally just be Liverpool paying Ornstein a packet to drive Ekitike's price up and unsettled Isak. Who knows anymore.

Sure I read somewhere that his agent was involved in the Kelly to Juventus deal .

What a transfer window, back on because an account with 600 followers has tweeted to say it’s happening 😂

Rule 1 is that you either believe all the good news and ignore the bad OR you believe all the bad news and ignore all the good.

Rule 2 is absolutely no picking and choosing what to believe. You have to be 100% committed to one of the options in Rule 1.

Rule 3 is don't break the rules.

I just can't picture Ekitike at Liverpool, although with Gyokeres off to Arsenal I don't think there's many other gettable forwards out there - they need to buy at least one.

Surprised none of the clubs who needs someone to hit the ground running haven’t gone for Oshimen. Can Liverpool afford to take a risk on a 23yr old with only 18 months first team football under his belt to be their main man. I know I’ve said this before but them signing Ekitike has Nunez mk2 written all over it

If this saga and indeed this transfer window has taught me anything, it's that Ornstien is not as infallible as I once thought.

He's hasn't been corrupted and turned into a slimey, money grubbing shill like Romano, but it's a slippery slope.

Is there anybody out there we can truly trust?

Doesn’t Ekitike play as wide forward or support striker rather than out and out 9?

Liverpool can fack off

It may not be now - but there will be a day in the not too distant future when we'll be the more dominant force in the PL
