Hugo Ekitike (not playing for Liverpool for a while)

Ekitike will end up at Liverpool, our approach will make them move even if they weren’t 100% sure. I’m relaxed about that, we only need players who really want to come.

I'm not even convinced they want Ekitike. They want Isak, getting Hugo would seem like settling for bronze while we are holding the gold standard.

"Sources have also told ESPN Newcastle are working on a deal to sign Eintracht Frankfurt forward Hugo Ekitike, with a view to the forward playing alongside Isak in attack.

Liverpool have also been liked with the player however it is understood they are not convinced by the 23-year-old, with Newcastle set to up their offer to Frankfurt in the coming days."

Positive Tweet coming tonight or tomorrow. All agreed. I can sense it.

I commend your positivity but is that your heart speaking rather than your head?

I agree with this. They want Isak and are basically saying "we'll sogn Ekitike if you don't sell us Isak"

Press on for Ekitike. Show some ambition to Isak and offer him a new contract.

Pulls what shit, getting his client a move to a club with a currently larger profile, possibly better chance of honours and higher wages ?

Players go to any club because they see them as the best option at that given time.

Yeah, yeah, bigger club, fatter paycheck, faster glory; I get it. Smart move, no doubt. But what’s football without grudges? Call me childish, I’m still choosing violence.

I truly believe this is the time to do it. We are playing CL and if keep Isak and sign Ekitike we can challenge for the title.

Both. Because I think that if Liverpool really wanted him then it would have been done already. At least verbally if not paper wise. Perhaps a bit more with heart but still.

Think we probably have some credit in the bank with Ekitike too, we've persued him relentlessly for 3 years, whereas Liverpool see him as a "he'll do" option, the whole PSG saga will probably have him tentative about a move to them too IMHO

No. Ekitike is the closest thing there is to Isak. In fact Ekitikes last season was better than Isaks last at Sociedad and he could kick on. They are saying if we can't get Isak we'll get the next best thing.

I agree but Ekitike is the next best thing - although he does involve some risk especially at that price. If Isak’s not for sale, which is what we are being told, then the chance of us also bringing in Ekitike may just be too much for them.

Whats more likely next season?

A. Isak (NUFC) Ekitike (LFC)

B. Isak (NUFC) Ekitike (NUFC)

C. Isak (LFC) Ekitike (NUFC)

How I wish we'd get Ekitike and keep Isak and basically tell Liverpool and the whole league to fuck off. We're allowed to build something special as well

At some point we're going to have to let the rest of the football world know that we are the train on the fucking tracks. Why not now.

As some have said I think they 'want' Isak but will 'take' Ekitike as he's the next best thing

Liverpool's heart wants Isak, but their wallet can only afford Ekitike more like.

They also know if we get him we'll be a force next season
