Hugo Ekitike (not playing for Liverpool for a while)

Not sure what our budget is, but if its either Eki or Trafford+Scalvini the latter option might be better

Id probably agree, doesn’t get the excitement levels tingling though does it. The fume when we have to settle for DCL now!

Yesterday, a plausible theory was that we were bringing him in this summer to mitigate the need to replace Isak next summer. The only thing that’s changed is Liverpool might try to get ahead of us on Ekitike.

This has been like Game of Thrones, just waiting for fucking Slot to slit Howe’s throat after Liverpool have prized Isak away and tossed Ekitike aside. All over looked by that bespectacled cunt Henry pulling all the string to rig the game in Liverpool’s favour.

Had completely lost track of all the terrible excuses for a striker who have played for us.

How does he only have one Premier League goal

A mixture of him not being very good and Newcastle being utter shit at the time.

Maybe we flip this, and we've made these bids for him just to get Liverpool to come in and take their eyes off Isak.

That did cross my mind but you'd think telling Liverpool "fuck off, he's not for sale" would've been enough really.  We don't know what the clubs have said to each other we just hear the nonsense that goes on outside of the room from the people pressing their ears to the wall.

They don't have a good hand though if their negotiation is to play off signing Isak against signing Ekitike. Isak is our player. They don't really want Ekitike, he's a consolation to them - They want Isak. They won't sign Ekitike if they believe there's a chance they can sign Isak, whereas we can sign Ekitike whilst we have Isak and then there is no leverage for them.

I think if they don't sign Isak this year they'll come back next year. So maybe you're right signing Ekitike potentially blocks that move.

Delap, J. Pedro, Ekitike, we are clearly trying. would love to see Delap's face if Ekitike ends up at Chelsea too. he went there thinking maybe can be a main striker rather than understudy to Isak but I bet Chelsea still gonna get a good attacker after Pedro lol especially with the CWC cash bonanza r they still can sell the air in their stadium for 50m pounds straightaway approved for PSR.

Considering that we are supposedly pushing hard, I wonder when we’ll hear about our next bid. If our first was this morning then surely it won’t take very long until we get some sort of news again. My thumb is tired of refreshing tbh. (Thinking time is against us)

Definitely think he’s the type of player who we’d look to groom to replace next summer if Isak was to go but have them play together this season. Clearly Liverpool have decided to get involved and see if they can effect those plans.

Who knows what will happen at this stage, Ekitike to Liverpool would be my bet.

It's bollocks that about them saying they'll sign Ekitike if we don't sell them Isak. If anyone did that the club automatically would just not deal with them. It's all made up bollocks. I'm not even sure they are even in for Isak. I'm sure they'd like to sign him, any club would, if he was available you'd have clubs queueing up. Boehly would find the money one way or another.

Only way Isak leaves is to Real or somewhere in my opinion or if we miss out on CL next season.

People need to realise PIF will always put the Saudi league first like as shit as it is

But they could help us by delaying their signing. No one in Europe is paying £60-70m for Nunez so they can get him at will. Let us tie up Ekitike then buy Nunez.

One way or another Liverpool are going to fuck us over and that sucks.

An extreme example of the rules telling us to “know our place”. Heaven forbid another team fancies going for it. . . .
