Hugo Ekitike (not playing for Liverpool for a while)

I agree but Ekitike is the next best thing - although he does involve some risk especially at that price. If Isak’s not for sale, which is what we are being told, then the chance of us also bringing in Ekitike may just be too much for them.

Whats more likely next season?

A. Isak (NUFC) Ekitike (LFC)

B. Isak (NUFC) Ekitike (NUFC)

C. Isak (LFC) Ekitike (NUFC)

E. Isak (CFC) Ekitike (al Hilal) DCL (NUFC)

They also know if we get him we'll be a force next season

Nobody's laughing at us any more. 2nd season in the CL, trophy drought ended, arguably the best striker in the world and now about to add a player of Ekitike's ability.

Hence why they'll look to try and stop us getting him

Fucking hell, cheery lot in here….. anyone got DCL’s number?

I think with reason - Liverpool not only sniffing at our best player they're also looking to nick our target signing - double whammy

I'm just fed up with how every transfer we make (barring the youngsters) seems to end up being drawn out and full of drama. Will we ever go into a transfer window and have our main targets tied up early on and subsequent targets bought with minimal fuss?

They don't have a good hand though if their negotiation is to play off signing Isak against signing Ekitike. Isak is our player. They don't really want Ekitike, he's a consolation to them - They want Isak. They won't sign Ekitike if they believe there's a chance they can sign Isak, whereas we can sign Ekitike whilst we have Isak and then there is no leverage for them.

I reckon if we can go this high for Ekitike, we can also go that high for Sesko. Sesko seems to be only back-up option for many clubs and might be good option for us if Ekitike goes to Liverpool.

At some point we're going to have to let the rest of the football world know that we are the train on the fucking tracks. Why not now.

For this particular matter, not being a club who bends over at the will of LFC, no matter how much Twitter demands it, will suffice.

Have Liverpool worked out how to defend a corner yet? They let us score two from them in the Carabao final and needed a dodgy ref to chalk one off. Will  172cm of Frimpong make a difference?
