If we had a permanent bid accepted, I'd be surprised if Lingard couldn't be convinced to move on a long term deal, given his treatment by Man Utd. Surely at this stage, he will want out with any half decent offer? It's all well and good wanting to keep your options open in the summer but how many clubs will want him in 4 months after he hasn't had a kick for nearly a full season.
