You can’t be blaming fake tickets ffs, they should have planned for that type of problem.

 

The pictures and reports I’ve seen show an incredibly narrow approach to the first check point where inadequate officials were in place and then there were only 2 (really?) turnstiles to use.

 

The police and UEFA need taken to task here, it could have been much much worse. You can’t blame fans for foreseeable and indeed inevitable ticketing problems.

Thats not entirely true, Henry Winter saying the approach and logistics for Real fans getting into the stadium on their side was far easier. Cleverly there were some Liverpool fans who took the piss and contributed to this. Loads of locals also trying to get in and storm gates also a factor. But horrific management from UEFA and police.

Not related to the entry fiasco, but equally as disgraceful - when did they start with the Superbowl-lite nonsense before the game? Who the fuck is going to that match  happy that they have to sit through 4 Camila Cabello songs while a load of dancers spell out one word messages on the pitch? It seemed like they put more effort into planning the pre-match show than they did perimeter security.

As always it’s likely there will be two sides to the story and the truth with be somewhere in the middle.

 

It does seem a huge coincidence that Liverpool fans are always involved. I can imagine the police were put in a difficult situation but their reaction was probably well over the top too.

Saw a journo's tweet suggesting the access route for Madrid fans was far easier. 

Maybees the Liverpool fans had to go around the ground via some allotments and a back lane like Vicarage Rd 😂😂 (*)

Why did so many Liverpool fans queue up without tickets? That’s the main issue here which led onto everything else. Klopp telling them to come to Paris didn’t help

There is a lot of evidence to say poor organisation. 

 

But then there were these images from last night that suggest Liverpool fans who shouldn't have been in the stadium got in.

There can't have been THAT many Liverpool fans who turned up without tickets or knowingly had fake tickets for it to have caused such a logistical issue.

 

There's clear images of turnstiles being closed, fans being hemmed in, tear gas being used, which can only point to a conclusion that authorities are responsible.

 

Its also their responsibility to plan for every contingency, which they clearly didn't.

I've never seen other European club fans take over a city en masse though. Yes you will always get the odd nutter who might stab someone, but it's the group threat which some English clubs carry with them that causes problems.
