Manchester City vs. Newcastle United - 8/5/22 @ 4:30pm (Sky Sports)

Recommended Posts

We'll keep it tight for 70 minutes, double sub Trippier for Krafth and Wood for Wilson. Wilson get played through by Bruno 85th minute and gets fouled right outside of City's box. Trippier curls in his third goal of the season and we win 1-0.

We were unlucky in 2018/19 I thought. Took a worldie from Walker to win City that game.

Fuck me, that record

Dreadful [emoji38]

They weren’t even decent until 2008 ffs.

Didn’t we lose the last few at Maine Road? I remember fuming when Huckerby scored

Aye, Dyer missed an open goal.

The 03/04 one was a shocker too. They were battling relegation and we were still going for 4th and we were shite.

Found the highlights of the 0-1 in 2004 there. Atmosphere was hot and full house. Really hope our fans don’t take any potential upturn for granted like a chunk of their fans have.

That team is really a sight to behold. Truly an odd mixture of players there.

Dummet, Colback and Armstrong could all be playing Premier League football next season though.

How?

Wasn't a fluke win either, we dominated it. IIRC had a blatant penalty turned down (again) for a foul on Obertan.

Think we had a blatant one turned down on Shola too a few years earlier in the game HBA did his leg.
