ExiledGeordie
Ive treated plenty at work. If there’s no complex labral tear, fracture or complex cuff tear (highly unlikely) he might not be missing too long. ? wormy
Gutted for him. We're lucky to have a backup like Dubs but I still worry we'll see an impact from it if he's out too long.
alexf
Thought Pope was better with his kicking today. Combined with his prowess in shot stopping he will be a big miss.
Conjo
Does this mean Gillespie is back on the bench together with Karius for Everton?
Whitley mag
Think there’s a big drop off to Dubravka and will be noticeable if absence is for more than a few games.

Sean
Howe said Pope's dislocated his shoulder before and had an operation. How long was he out previously does anyone know? Edit: 162 days apparently. So probably out for the season pretty much. Edited December 2, 2023 by Sean

Nobody
Dubravka is probably in the top 5 best second goal keepers in the league. Whether that's enough is another matter completely

TRon
Feel for him mind, his reputation went down the pan this over the last year, but he has been great for us last few weeks and could probably have been back in contention for his England spot before today. TheBrownBottle
Pope’s been quality recently, and he’s definitely out until the New Year with that, but this is why keeping a PL quality GK as a backup is necessary for a club with ambition. I wasn’t ever in the camp that Dubravka was one of the better keepers in the division, but I do think he’s PL quality.
Big Geordie
I wish him a full and speedy recovery. It looked really bad.
ExiledGeordie
Will be a massive loss but Dubrabka is a solid back up and I think we can manage relatively well while he’s out. Defence will still be solid.
Lish007
Poor Nick Pope, feel for him. Rise Dubravka, make the shirt difficult to give back and you'll have done your job!
Kid Icarus
Dubravka is about as best a number 2 you could hope for. He'll be disappointed with the result last night, but hopefully he has the mentality to bounce back for the Milan and Everton matches. Pope will be a big miss like, goes without saying. Cronky
It's terrible luck for Nick, but also a chance for Dubs to rise to the occasion, like Lascelles has done. His early form for us was great, and I'd back him to recapture that. It's an exciting time to play in this side.
