Football too close to betting companies according to the Sports Minister.

while he's certainly not wrong why is it football getting singled out when similar things can be said about every sport and a fair few to a much greater extent than football is dependent on sponsorship from bookies, hell some sports arguably wouldn't exist without gambling (looking at you horse racing)

A Matlock Town player has died after being assaulted in pub car park last night.

Pretty much in the town center. Someone's been arrested for murder. I grew up in Retford. Not often trouble there. Pretty quiet town to be fair.

if you read up about football around the time the football association was getting set up, it's easy to get the impression that the entirety of the sport was bankrolled by gambling and the pub trade, like.

I was never that into Ba, clear he was just here to get a big move somewhere else. Not his fault of course.

Applies to pretty much every signing in the Ashley era really, he was just one of the handful good enough to actually get his move.

Why, was he being mind-controlled? Seems like a weird thing to say. If you mean you don't blame him then sure.
