Best case scenario is we come to an agreement that we’ll spend the coming season finding him a proper suitor that makes him happy but also doesn’t see us getting raked over the coals. Realistically, he’s not going to down tools for a season and we can’t afford to banish him to the reserves.

Sincerely hope we have been completely unreasonable and are refusing to negotiate tbh. It's the exact stance I want

If he dodges competitive games then I would happily have him sit out the next 3 years. I’m spiteful though.

Absolutely aye, again they really want him and know he's priceless in reality such players simply aren't available.

So what they are doing is smart anchoring low and isn't every trick in the book to name a price which they will continue to drive down.

If I'm nufc I'm not picking up the calls from them.

Yeah I dont think for a second that their latest approach (if true) will make us more agreeable.

Only thing its lowering is our expetations that he will be needing to be replaced.

the problem is no matter we are reasonable or unreasonable we should say fuck off to their 11 offer. This offer is insane

For all ive criticised our leadership on this, I will give them 100% credit if they end up coming out of this without selling Isak and him being reintegrate back into the squad.

I dont care about him leaving, provided its on our terms.

Liverpool publicly pulling out in this way is the equivalent of a lass posting ‘don’t need no man, just me and ma kids now xx’ on Facebook after a break up. Give it a few weeks.

Next steps will be interesting. Entering the realm of fines, loss of loyalty bonus etc now if he doesn’t return to training with the first team squad when they get back from Korea. Reckon he’s overplayed his hand here by going the nuclear route.

He's obviously as thick as mince.

Can't really say this is a win for us though. Isak's reputation is irreparable damaged for us, and Liverpool have sucessfully disrupted an already shambolic transfer window.

If he comes back looking just as hungry for goals nobody will care. He doesnt have to love us, just do the fucking business.

Douglas' take.

Stealing a living these guys "understand..." Yeah you are repeating what's been reported by others and not crediting the original source.
