Seems to be like he's pushed this as he's getting desperate

One final act to make things so toxic that we will just accept any lowball bid

He's talking about broken promises? What would that promise have been? That he can join Liverpool? Or that he can leave? If it's to leave then surely he would accept a move to any club, it doesn't have to be Liverpool?

He's full of shit and this statement makes me wish the club match his energy and make him sit 3 years out, whilst it impacts us financially in the short term, long term we'll be fine but he'll be almost 29 and having sat on his arse which serious club goes for him

Absolutely.

Let's be honest, if the move to Liverpool was progressing behind the scenes there would be no need to say anything.

They don't want to pay our asking price and he's running out of ways to get us to reduce it.

I really hope his career goes to shit.

Him and Liverpool deserve each other. Two utter cunts.

Whilst I do agree they definitely suit each other down to the ground, above all I think we need to ensure he’s nowhere near there come Sept 1st. Even if it means farming him out to some team in Mexico, we cannot back down.

I think we know who's at fault and we wont be selling him cheap, ever.

As the past few weeks will settle and take 135-140m for him now imo. If we keep him that's likely the highest amount we will get for him imo. Especially he remains in a huff. only way he doesn’t depreciate in value is by both quickly reintegrating and playing like he has the past couple of years.

Contracts shorter, players getting older. Not saying we might not be happy to double down and take the loss but the probability of making a loss on him after this window is far higher than anything else imo

I'd keep him at the club then not register him for champions league.

Because of his conduct. 😂

I would register, makes him less appealing to be cup tied

Exactly, with his behaviour, especially this.  His options are Saudi, Turkey, Scotland or Portugal on Loan.

This is the nuclear option from Isak. He knows club won’t change stance, but it’s last resort where if the players tell Howe they want rid of him, then it’s done.

Players probably still had some professional element left for him, but this may now have killed that.

Still, rather we just made him sit it out for a year then leave. Or sit out for three years and leave for £0. Players will respect it.
