I won't feel content till we get past the West Ham game, if everyone comes through that ok then I'll feel better that he will play.

Firmly in the rest players for the West Ham camp.

Aye... given his record against West Ham, I'd be minded to start Wilson. Bench Isak, see how the game goes and maybe give him last 5mins if he needs to stretch his legs and the game is won. But I would definitely prioritise the final for him (Isak), even if he is fit and available for Monday.

We also have the option to throw Osula in the mix as well. A combo of him and Wilson should offer some threat against a team like West Ham who aren't exactly tearing up the league this year.

Not sure about that mind, neither have looked threatening in a league game this season, albeit the sample size is small.

If it means saving Isak for the final, then I would be prepared to take my chances against West Ham with a Wilson combo. If Isak aggravates any niggles then we could be having to face the rest of the season with Osula/Wilson. Not that Wilson would see out the season.

This is the face most of us are probably pulling at the thought of the cup final right now.

In training pics today.

Says a lot about his character that he was determined to join in the five-a-sides with both his legs in plaster, fair play to him.

I just can't see Isak leaving for at least one more season, unless a crazy bid comes in, which is virtually impossible to turn down. Think he will be given a new contract. Last player club will want to sell and Eales has already mentioned that this week. Will a purple player go, possibly but I think it would more likely be Bruno or maybe even Gordon or Tonali, than Isak.

With 3 years left on his deal we are in such a strong position, that even if he wants to leave I would expect the club to dig in and say no unless someone offers at least 150 million. it's Summer 2026 before we would have to cash in if he didn't sign a new deal.

I think if we don't get CL, then he would probably be looking at going to a club where he can achieve that every season. Newcastle are still not at that stage so I can understand that he might start getting itchy feet. But he has a long contract so we hold the whip hand. Eales has already set the club's stall out that we are keeping him, so unless we get a really big offer, then he stays here, even if he would prefer to move on.

Sadly for him, even if he wanted to leave he's too valuable to let go other than for a stellar offer. At least at this point in his contract.

Anyway, no reason to believe he wants to go.
