Spurs, Chelsea and Liverpool are pretty inconsistent this season so beat Chelsea and strengthen in January and why can't 4th be on the cards? I still think it'll be a huge task to maintain this form, especially following our next defeat which is gonna come at some stage you'd imagine. Still doing all this without Isak btw. If it does start to look like we might be finishing 6th or 7th later in the season it would be such a shame if those spots weren't European spots.

BTW we've only lost to a 98th minute goal at Anfield this season, why couldn't we just go out and win one of those fucking cups?

Top 4 at Christmas. Wonder how many times I'll look at the league table when I'm steaming on Christmas Day.

Can you get it on a Chrimbo jumper? 😁 Like a retro Cefax one!

My worry is whether or not we can keep up this intensity through a whole season.  World cup break will help but it's gonna be a hell of an ask for our thin squad to maintain this until May.

I agree but I think it helps that Shelvey, ASM and Isak all haven't played a huge part yet, and then there's still January window. Those 3 coming back after the WC is going to inject some energy into the squad I reckon.

More level headed than most usually but even I am starting to think top 4 could be on. Man City have the league won and Arsenal will be 2nd but after that Spurs and Chelsea are nothing to be scared of, Man United have improved but are still inconsistent as today showed. Liverpool need a huge revamp even if they win today. We have literally been this good for the whole year, it’s not a flash in the pan or some daft flukey run, we are where we deserve to be.

Congratulations Edward, your latest offering was as delectable as dipping my bottom over and over into a bath of the silkiest oils and creams.

Bonus of that table is that we still have the benefit of having to play Man U, Spurs, Brighton and Liverpool at home having already played them away. The only match I'm kind of writing off from now til May is City (A). Every other match is a decent opportunity for at least a point, even Arsenal (A)

If we get two or three additions in January, and keep the most important players fit I can see us give Man City a real fight tbh.

The Arsenal games are what intrigue me. Our end of season demolition versus their new form. It'll be interesting.
