The Europeometer™ (2024/25) - NUFC Qualify for Conference League (at least)

Recommended Posts

The online assumption that we’d qualify for the Champions League blew my mind, like.

Off the pace far too often, with minging fixtures + a bad defence.

But I'd have taken that point beforehand. It just depends on Liverpool's dodgy lineup pulling off a result....

Wish we hand a thumbs down button

@Froggy if you get CL and we don't I need you to know I'm gonna fucking murder you.

Cut the camera to me reading this screenshot at the trial. Yes I said I would do it. Mike. I said I would and I did.

You're always so wildly negative

We're 4th and won a cup yet it was only two months ago that you said you're sick of the sight of all of our players

Off the pace far too often? Before today, we had collected 42 points in 19 games, and won 20 in 27, Liverpool are the only team to collect more points in that time with 44, and the team in third where on 38. We've been remarkably consistent for a long time, recently won a trophy and are full of confidence, having scored 2 or more in 6 of the last 7 games, and scoring 21 in that time, that assumption was more than justified.

Big point keeps us 4th til next weekend at least unless Chelsea win by 2 here. Psychologically big. Even if Chelsea win here so long as forest don’t if we do the business next week it’s fairly certain we finish above one of them at least.

What is wrong with people? We are 1 win away from 2nd. We are second best team since December

Seriously. What do you want? Win every game 10-0?

9-0 will suffice.

Seriously, this is going to the last game of the season.

I feel like the massive problem we'll have next season if we 'only' qualify for the Europa or Conference league is we're still playing catch up from the massive underinvestment under Ashley. All the other clubs around us (Apart from Forest, can't say I know too much about their academy) had money pumped into their academy and youth players over the past decade/decade and a half, while we were stripped to the bare minimum. All the clubs around us are able to find the odd player or two from the academy to make the step up to play smaller European ties, where we have fuck all beyond our starting 11.

I think we’ve shot our load.

We needed to win today.

Chelsea will do us, or at worst get a point.

Arsenal will beat us, and we’ll have too much ground to make up.

Disagree, before today I’d have said it was more likely we beat Chelsea at home than Brighton away.

even if Chelsea and forest win this weekend, we will likely still be ahead of both. Crucial game next week

Honestly think we won’t win.

We’ll miss Joelinton.

Willock isn’t good enough, and frustratingly he won’t be dropped.

Chelsea will be fired up for it.

And we won’t? People never learn with this team or manager

Think I'd be happy to go if that happens.

Not sure if you’ve seen Arsenal lately, but they remain as beatable as ever for us. Chelsea have not been good today either. Just get into them.

I'm confused because prior alot of people predicted defeat and us to make top 5. Yet we got a draw and now we are nailed on for dropping out?

Thought that was a good point today. Wasn’t a great game but we absolutely couldn’t get beat.

Bigger concern is that we looked a bit uninspired. Confident we’ll be well up for the Chelsea game.

I just think we didn't get a run of luck today, every cross we put in the box went to a Brighton player, I wasn't keen on the Wilson sub, especially when Isak stayed on, canny point, great point if Chelsea and Forest somehow lose.
