That Malmo/Copenhagen match is the shortest international away day in European football history (apparently!). 28km as the crow flies.

Went over the Oresund bridge into Malmo when I was over in Copenhagen a few years back, will be a decent two-legged fixture that.

the league path is brutal, Celtic have a decent draw and a reasonable chance Ferencváros make it

Aye, I can’t see Rangers making it.

Benfica must be favourites to make it out of every club there, but even then they face a tough test.

Ferencváros would be a great historic draw for us if they are to make it.

Is there a genuine chance that some fans of the other club live closer to the opposition club than they do to their own team?

It’s got to be close to the distance of Newcastle and Sunderland.

Dane based in Copenhagen here. Lots of Swedes living in Copenhagen and vice versa - in particular Danes married to foreigners live in Malmö, as our immigration policies makes it difficult to get a residence permit for people that are not born in Denmark. So I guess a fair few fans will definitely have a shorter away trip than when they use their respective season ticket at the other side of the Øresunds bridge.

Whens the draw and then confirmation of fixture dates?  Will be looking to book at least one trip.

Draw is the 28th, but I think it then takes them another few days to confirm the exact date of every fixture.

Will be difficult this season with other teams having got their signings in BEFORE the season commenced. We aren't really ready yet so will need to find some way to keep up with the leading pack until we are. On the plus side, other than having no striker, the rest of the squad looks hungry and capable. Once we fill the gaping hole in the first team, we should be able to go hard after 5th spot you would imagine.

What's the likelihood that 5th in the PL will be Champions League this season?

Depends how the English teams go in Europe this season.

Realistically, it’s always going to be two out of England, Spain, France and Germany for the additional spots.

Only interesting thing about that fixture is the fact they're both winners of the national cup, so it's a bit of a Cup Winners´ Cup throwback.

Is Bodo's success gonna be ruinous in terms of any other Norwegian teams doing anything in Europe?

Any idea when the group stage draw is? I know it's a week on Thursday but can't see a time anywhere.

I think last years was in the morning, other year before was 6pm for us.
