Is Bodo's success gonna be ruinous in terms of any other Norwegian teams doing anything in Europe?

Rather the opposite, we're secured two teams in Europe this season because of what they've done so far and if those  two teams manage to at least just do somewhat ok, we'll be better off going forward as well. More money gets evenly spread out amongst the other top division teams from UEFA as well, so whilst Bodø/Glimt might end up being the one singular dominant force in our national league for a decade or more, Norwegian football on the whole will be stronger for it. Assume it'd turn out similar as back when Rosenborg kept qualifying for the CL every season, leading to us eventually having two teams in the CL. In the 26/27 season we'll be secured one team in the CL group stage and another team just having to go through one play-off stage to get in as well, being secured at least participating in the EL group stage.

sadly I can see Spurs and Man Utd being much much closer to top5 this season. for us if we would not be in Europe we could be close but with CL to manage too, it will take a lot out of us. thats without the horrible Isak saga.

not being in Europe for Amorim is a huge advantage now. also getting 200m worth of new attacking department helps as a reward on the back of a horrible season.

Who do we reckon makes it through then? Based on who I’d like through as potential opponents and guesswork supplementing a lack of actual knowledge, I’ll go for:

Crvena Zvezda

Qarabag

Sturm Graz

Celtic

Copenhagen

Rangers

Fenerbahce

Hopefully Rangers and Celtic both go out so our fans don’t have the chance to embarrass themselves again.

On the flip side to Celtic going out, it means we could get a midweek away day here, in the middle of January, where the temperature can reach -9°c

That drive route looks a tad optimistic…

Not sure if there’s a better thread for this, but just saw the TV picks for October. currently Brighton and Fulham games are Saturday 3pm, so no tv, but as champions league games precede both those weekends, I believe the games have the potential to be moved to Sunday 2pm, where they would then be on TV.

does anyone know the criteria for it being moved? Is it only if we played Wednesday? And away only or home game aswell?

Think it's only the EL and ConfL teams that get shifted as they play on the Thursday?

Pretty sure all EL and ConfL teams get their games shifted to the Sunday (normally 2pm iirc). That doesn't mean the CL teams are all definitely playing on Saturday, but all the teams playing Thursday night play again on Sunday. That's my understanding I think

That makes sense! thank you, I think the only thing that we would be moved from is a Saturday 12.30 kick off following a Wednesday away game in the CL

The Brighton and Fulham games are confirmed Saturday 3pm’s regardless of CL fixtures.

*I say confirmed, but I’ll probably qualify that to 98% confirmed, as until the CL draw actually happens, there’s always the chance of some obscure combination of factors occurring that nobody has thought of previously.

Qarabag (Azerbaijan) and Kairat (Kazakhstan) won and drew away from home respectively tonight. If they qualify, hope we get neither away.

Am I being thick, but Red Star Belgrade played Pafos last night, one of them has to make it to the group stages, and neither one of them is in the projected groups.

Edit: Pafos are, I just had to open up the tweet and expand it.
