The Prophet
Nothing wrong with disliking Man United. A couple of decades ago they had one of the most dominant spells in English football, so it's only natural they still have a large amount of unbearable, glory supporting knackers following them. AJ9
Personally, I hate Man Utd mostly because of two things: 1. Their absolute legions of arsehole fans who backed a winner in the 90s and have barely been to a game (lots of Scottish Man Utd fans for that reason + fergie - why not pour their effort and support into their own shite depressing league). 2. The heartbreak they doled out to me as a young kid. So while they aren’t rivals and I don’t hate them like the Mackems, I would gladly see them fold and fuck off forever if that was an option. Geogaddi
I despise Man United more than any other club in football, it’s nothing to do with the club itself either really, their fans are the most arrogant self entitled wankers I have ever come across and the fact I know so many so called fans that say they support them and have never been within 100 miles of Old Trafford makes it worse. The cup final has only amplified the hatred, never saw any of the fuckers until the day of the match and even then all they did was sing about Shearer then loads couldn’t even be arsed to stay and watch them win the trophy. A trophy we were absolutely desperate to win as well and we lost to a team with a set of fans who go on like that. It felt like a clash of good vs evil and sadly evil won. BoSelecta
Born in the 80s so Man Utd comfortably my most hated prem team.
STM
I literally look at the Man United kit, badge, stadium and players as the embodiment of pure evil. Fergy= evil cunt Keane= evil cunt Their badge= the actual devil Their colour= red, a warning colour All their fans are absolute arseholes. Least knowledgeable, tainted by success. huss9
no one compares to sunderland for me. then its liverpool for all sorts of reasons. chelsea for their racist shennanigans over the years.
SteV
If Man Utd were playing Sunderland, and the result had no obvious impact on us, it would be very strange to hope for anything other than a resounding Man Utd win.

Also 70s and 80s everyone wanted to beat Liverpool, 90s was Man Utd, 00s Arsenal and Chelsea came along, now it's Man City that a lot of opposition fans hate. I hope in 10 years people hate us because of our dominance of the 2020s.

Geogaddi
Never understood the hate for Man City really, good bunch of fans who won the football lottery, they don't come across as arrogant or anything like that and they play good football, plus they have stopped the likes of Man United and Liverpool winning countless more trophies. TomYam
I certainly despise ManU. I also have a strong dislike for Everton, Liverpool, Chelsea, Spurs, Sunderland, Villa, Arsenal and Stevenage. Something like in that order. The dislike for ManU is many faceted, but most of all down to the all-consuming promotion of that club. I'm in SEAsia now and ManU seems to compete with Pepsi and CocaCola in terms of inculcating the masses. ManU (along with Spurs), more than any other club, has been at the forefront of unwanted commercialism and money-grabbing that has perverted association football. Holloway
Don't hate Man U because of the masses of glory hunters that have attached themselves over the years, those types are the most laughable pricks in football. When I come across them at work I always have a laugh trying to tease out their affiliation. There's no doubt Man U at home is one of the biggest games of the season though, and has been since I started following.

At games their fans absolutely come across as arrogant. I remember thinking in 2011 (they beat us 3-1) that they had turned into their cunty neighbours, whose arrogance they had always claimed to loathe, within a few years of having cash. Must be a Manchester thing.
AyeDubbleYoo
They’re just always the best team and they win 80% of their games, I think most fans would change in those circumstances. You’re basically just waiting to see how much you’ll win by.
huss9
@HaydnNUFC thanks for this in the opening post. ended up watching the whole thing. great memories... gazza, mira, sarge, darren jackson, and a great season for irishman michael o'neil.

HaydnNUFC
Attwell reffing this. Andy Madley on VAR. If we win this we'll already be better off points wise than in every single one of our PL seasons since the 5th season. We'd be 15 points off that total. Can't wait for GNev to go ballistic when we beat them. Have Keane in the studio for good measue. Perhaps Shay will be there to rub it into his Irish pal. Wish they could have Carragher in somewher to laugh at Neville again too. Edited March 28, 2023 by nufcjb
Lush Vlad
Back to the Big Joe/Little Joe link up on the left for this? Went on a right run with that pairing and they do dovetail well. But I think I’d rather see a wide man/winger down that side.
buzza
Also think big joe back would help us overrun them in the middle and win all the loose balls.
Froggy
Could be no Casemiro, Eriksen or Sabitzer on Sunday. Varane and Rashford carrying knocks. Should be pretty comfortable for you in the end.
