Suddenly he’s shite? I loved him in League Cup winning season. But he still had a long way to go before he could have been considered the best in Europe. He's still behind Bruno in my eyes. Yes he was massively important for us in terms of being the engine and his recovery pace for us against counter attacks. But he still has a lot to improve on the ball and needs to be more consistent with his attacking. If you put a highlight reel of him together it's probably fantastic but we all know we didn't see his shooting or offensive ability anywhere near enough outside of the odd spectacular goal. I had high hopes he could keep developing and reach those levels with us but it's not to be. Edited yesterday at 15:01 by alexf

I think your perception of Spurs is a bit…underinformed. Let me bore you to tears as I have done for so many more on here… We’ve always generated lots of money. 1997/98 was the first year of the Deloitte list and probably our lowest point since the late 70s. We finished 14th and went out of both domestic cups straight away. You finished just above us but were in the Champions League having just finished 2nd twice in a row. You also got to the FA Cup final and WF in the League Cup. Your turnover was 2nd of the English teams at £49.2M, more than anyone except Man U…yet we were still 7th in England, not too far behind with £31.2M. We’re a really big club with loads of fans - yes, all over the globe but nothing like on Man U’s scale - and we have been since about 1950 at the latest. That’s the first point. Then we revamped every part of the club to try to compete with behemoths like Man U and countries like Chelsea and Man City without just having somebody pump money into us. That’s what we’ve done. Buying and/or developing young and cheap then selling high, building a new youth setup, building a new stadium that can generate income outside football and from the community. Loads of my daughters’ friends are going to the Sixth Form Academy on the site of the old Paxton Rd end next year. The fans pay a fucking fortune too I mean you have literally been bought by one of the countries richest people, he’s so rich that he actually left the country and hardly ever visits out of fear that he’ll overstay and have to pay taxes. He was able to sustain your clubs losses during the years you had poor league finishes. Geography has allowed for you to charge so much for season tickets and build a venue that will forever have a line of events wishing to use it. Additionally it’s worth noting that Man City aren’t owned by a country, neither were Chelsea to be fair.

It's this place, every thread I have looked at this week has entire pages of hidden posts from accounts that hated Howe since Dec 24. Frothing at the gash sad cunts desperate for us to fail. It's just weird, there's no need for it man. Window has been open 6 days ffs

I stopped considering Howe as a coach when I saw Woltemade play in midfield. The Azzurri... if you had watched Italy's entire campaign you would have seen that only 3 out of 11 gave their best, and one of these was Tonali. Then, of course, we also have our Howe...and his name is Gattuso.

I’ve never warmed to him tbh. He's a fucking odd character imho. He’s nowhere near Bruno’s level. Easily replaceable given his form last season. He has zero leadership qualities so would be less than useless without Bruno who’s bound to be off himself over the next couple of years. He’s showed zero gratitude for the faith we showed in him after the gambling ban. He clearly knew what was around the corner in that regard when he came here from Milan. I genuinely cannot recall 6 games where he’s grabbed the game by the scruff of the neck and ran the show. I hope Spurs house the cunt next door to a casino tbh. Get fucked you graceless, character-less, shithouse. Hope his lass leaves him an’ all. The prick. I'm sorry, but that is the biggest cope I've read on here in a long time Has captained at Italy U21, Bresica & AC Milan, being praised for his great leadership skills. Showed gratitude publicly for us sticking by him multiple times the last two years. Grabbed the game by the scruff of the neck multiple times, most notably with some hero-like work rate late on in games to get us a result. While he was underwhelming, like a lot of players were last season, the season before he was arguably one of our best players. Used right, he is a key player here. STM Posted yesterday at 16:06 Share Posted yesterday at 16:06 Tonali is a great player, hes a 10/10 off the ball. Hes a 7/10 on the ball though, so 100m give or take will be good money. Its not about that though is it? Its about one of our stars leaving again, and more importantly who comes in to replace him.

If you are saying that YOU wouldn't pay that, that's a fair view but I suspect there will be a number of clubs at the table for a similar deal. Ben Posted yesterday at 16:11 Share Posted yesterday at 16:11 2 goal involvements last season (according to Gemini) I'd take a clubs hand off for £80 million, £100 million is just crackers.
STM Posted yesterday at 16:13 Share Posted yesterday at 16:13 Given just how inconsistent he was last year, getting 80+ for him does seem crazy. However, you have to be really careful by judging players by their floor and not their ceiling.

We know how good Botman can be but injuries etc. Burns age is the issue and the forward planning. Whenever hes at CB he never lets us down. Its LB that scares the life out everyone. There shouldn't be any worries if Burn has to start games IMO, he can still do it to a really good standard. Id like one more young CB but its way down the list.
