NUFC Transfer Rumours

Recommended Posts

Nothing changed, we need a bigger squad that can take the hit of the extra CL games and added fixture schedule. So far its Longstaff/Wilson out and Elanga in, so we are 1 down overall.

We cannot run same 12/13 players into the ground with limited rotation otherwise we will be shit by mid October with increasing risk of injuries.

We missed out on number of targets, thats bad but not much we can do now. we need to look up alternatives. this where the help from DoF to Howe would be crucial but doubt Mitchell doing much these days.

Are CP going to let Marc Guehi walk next year on a free?

My suspicion with Guehi is that he’s already agreed it with Liverpool and is prepared to wait if necessary. Palace don’t get much say at this point, they fucked that up last year.

Always said the best players dont want to move.to the north east of England. Pure rejection from almost all strikers been approached this summer. Newcastle aren't a big club outside of the north east of England. This needs to settle in the brains of mindless fans.

To be fair they won the FA Cup and probably that’s good enough for the fans

Guehi wants to start and VVD signed a two year deal.  That sounds like a negative for CP and MG.

Konate’s doing a Trent at the end of this coming season, so he’ll just replace him.

The second 11 is miles off, like - especially in an attacking sense.

CB / CM / ST and I’ll be content now. Would like a useful FB so Targett can be peddled on, but if we avoid injuries, it’s a squad that can still achieve our aims for this season whilst we hopefully get upstairs sorted out for long term.

Don’t expect it to be these players, but ones of similar profile /quality should be achievable if we have £120m left to spend thanks to Longstaff sale.

Scalvini £35m Gallagher £40m Torres £45m

No reason we can’t do deals like that ready for first home game so there is strong optimism going into it.

But aren’t Wolves and Forest OK with a lower level of player than we need? I imagine the club are thinking we need CL/title winning level players.

Of course nobody can disagree that better would be better.

We do need title winning players. How many can we afford if we buy Elanga's, who are not world class (no offence to the lad) for 55mil, instead of identifying them when they were 15-25 million. Firstly our bench is championship level. 3 40 year old League 2 goalies in the squad. 5 useless outfield players and Joe Willock who is either injured or a hinderance. I hope to Christ there is a lab of chinese maths prodigies and football autistics in the bowels of St. James with a secret plan which involves making us look totally inept on the executive level and then showing up August 1st with a squad at least able to give it a shot to have a good CL campaign and qualify for it again, and you'd hope, in the process, massively increase the value and utility of the players we've signed. Totally inept, the players and coaching have put us ahead of schedule against all odds and executive level can't do the easy part. Christ just load up Football manager and sign players that way at this stage, far mroe competent than what seems to be the case.

Liverpool slapping the nuts on the table showing the geordies what a big club looks like. Everyone knows Isak wants to be at Liverpool over Newcastle. Yes he's being forced to stay under 3 years left on contract. But can't deny Newcastle are a small club despite the riches of the Saudis

I talk to Isak everyday, he's disgusted he has to go to Sunderland this year, worried it might as bad as the filth on merseyside ja. Now, give the phone back to the elderly woman who unfortunately walked past the bin you call home.

Remember when Mikel Merino signed for us and nobody saw it coming, it seemed to come out of absolutely nowhere? I'd love a signing like that again.

I'd love to have kept Merino, first few times he played I had hope for the first time in ages. Then he got benched when Shelveys suspension was up. My only real, big gripe with Rafa, huge, huge mistake there. That was the best midfielder we'd had in years

To think when we started this summer, I thought we had a genuine chance of signing Saka.

Going into a season with CL on the horizon, I think we all were expecting a solid window. It can still happen, but we got a big task now going forward.

I think I'm more disappointed with the fact that Howe is disappointed

The @UBConquense is one step away from finalizing the transfer of Mo Sedibeh, a 19-year-old Spanish-Gambian talent, to Newcastle. He is even participating in the English first team’s pre-season in Austria. An operation that would mark a before and after in the recent history of the Conquense club.
