It’s always been that way in football. I don’t know what the answer is, but allowing clubs to sell themselves their own assets just takes the piss. There's only two ways to reset this, and it's a wage-roof as in american sports or a 51% rule. That will make it less attractive for rich owners to put their money into the clubs and the quality of the PL would probably go down a bit.
