My view on Guehi is that he'd be crackers to leave Palace now.

Wait a year, have loads of options and take a juicy pay cheque.

There's not a side in the league who wouldn't take him in 12 months and it’s not as though hes miserable at Palace.

Problem he has though, ACL during season, moves are gone (at least for wages he could get this summer). Likewise, if he ends up being benched, doesn’t play for England, is his stock really that high next summer to command a fee and have likes of Liverpool interested? When there could be a new CB available that’s more appealing.

I think that's why we haven't seen the Bosman market explode in the 30 years since that became law. For all of the other aspects, there's safety with taking a 6-8 year contract from Chelsea.

Life in the game is potentially short. If someone like Liverpool comes in now, likely doubles his wage and gives him an almost guaranteed trophy next season, do you wait and gamble? We know which way his agent will push him and players do tend to bet on themselves. Its a big gamble though for the reasons you listed.

Wouldn't surprise me to see Manure make a power play for him too and offer silly wages. I think he has more sense but its happened before.

Leaving for South Korea tomorrow probably won’t help our case what with the management team and transfer team being one and the same. 😅

Aye you wont see any joining like Pedro did with Chelsea. They setting up plane and medical in Asia

Am I right that in the last 24 months we’ve signed the following players to the first team?

Lewis Hall (almost 24 months ago in reality)

Tino Livramento (almost 24 months ago)

Will Osula (a development player for up to £15m)

Elanga - £53m

Harvey Barnes - £38m ( 24 months ago)

Sandro Tonali - £60m (24 months ago)

And from the first squad we’ve lost:

Wilson - on a free

Miggy Almiron - for £12m

Sean Longstaff - for £12m

Elliot Anderson - for £35m=

Allan Saint Maximin - £23m?

If you want to better display how it impacts our actually available squad on the pitch it probably looks more like that.
