NUFC Transfer Rumours

Genuinely wouldn't mind Mitrovic on loan as the Wilson replacement. I know he's slow but he's a good finisher and has unfinished business. Wissa, Mitro and Osula is not the best. Perhaps could keep Isak and send Osula out on loan.

It's not quite Sesko or Ekitike level but gives us decent cover for the season. If Samu and Ramos etc are deemed too risky.
Next season, go get Osimhen or a top class forward to fully replace Isak.

I feel like I need something mad like this to get me going for the new season.

Mitrovic, Paqueta, Grealish. Something that looks daft on paper but has enough of a what if element to get me interested.

As someone on here said can you even imagine how trying to do the press of an Eddie Howe side ?

He cant and won't, but someone like him could be very useful for the last 15-20 minutes when chasing a game. Get the ball in the box and he will win it. We don't have that option

Agreed but we don’t need a striker to come off the bench for 20 mins we need a striker that will start games to ease the workload of Isak or whomever the striker is

it's decent odds tbh. We have loads of games, no midfield cover and no useable striker . It's a competitive league.

an injury to big Jo and we are back to playing the same midfield 3 in every single game.

May as well try and make some money out of our shitshow

If we don’t get this striker situation sorted properly. We are in serious trouble. We know how crap we are without Isak in the team and we seem to be running out of genuinely decent options. All of which would have been a downgrade, anyway.

That’s without looking at all the other glaring weaknesses when it comes to squad depth.

I think there were 14 or 15 teams with shorter odds. So the market suggests it’s not likely. But I just feel like we’d need a massive turnaround in the transfer market or we’re in big trouble.

Not really sure how you could have any confidence we’ll turn it around. Based on how wank we have been so far.

I agree. We are already seeing the lessening of quality of the targets imo

6/1 with Hills for us to finish bottom half. If this transfer window continues like it has been. I don’t think that’s a bad bet and can probably get bigger odds elsewhere.

Assuming no Isak and the squad as it is, it's worth a punt to be honest. Fatigue and injuries will take a heavy toll, so we may be drifting between 8-12th around the winter period. I reckon the Guardian will have us down for 8th in their own predictions.

I watched a not quite full team play Spurs off the park over the weekend. Get a grip man!

Spurs. In a meaningless pre-season. The same team that finished 16th-17th or whatever it was?!

I’d be very confident we’re a bigger price than that come the end of the window.

I hope so!

I’m not being deadly serious, anyway. I was genuinely interested. Because as it stands, we are a complete and utter mess.

Seemingly rudderless at the top and some big holes in the squad. Along with the whole Isak situation and being incapable of signing a replacement.

I’m not really sure what odds I was expecting. But I was surprised so many teams were shorter than us in the betting.

The names being linked may we lesser targets, but they seemingly still come with a huge price tag.
