Depends on the conditions attached to the release clause which you may want to know upfront. For example it could be a case of the buyer having to pay everything upfront, or specific payment terms, or sell on clause, or structure of add-ons. 

 

However as you mention and we learned the hard way, might be useful to check whether the player prefers London or Leeds in this case

21 year old attacking midfielder who's not a star or anything but is good enough to play in the Premier League and has room to grow. Seems ideal.

Khannousss started 27 Prem games last season. Don't think he'll be handled with kid gloves at all.

 

Gone down a bit of a rabbit hole looking at stuff from last season and he looks like one that will take off coming into a better team. Some of his play in tight spaces man, wow ... he just looks capable of things our current midfielders just aren't able to do.

 

Genuinely think this guy would get a lot of games and would come in and out of that first team in the right circumstances. He looks very talented.

El Khannouss sounds an exciting signing personally. Seen a few gems from the lower leagues in Rogers, Wharton etc who have developed enourmously when joining established premier League clubs. You'd argue they are both worth well over 60m now and are pivotal players. El Khannouss could be another one and is definitely worth a punt

Not convinced we are in for him. Not a huge amount of sources screaming about it. Who knows with this transfer team though. Used to be a case of, we only hear about it when its basically a done deal and it comes out of the blue.

Someone said today he plays LCM, AM and LW so I wouldn't take that part too seriously. I would assume based on targets this summer he wouldn't be signed to play as a winger ( but used there if necessary)

I can’t think of an example under Howe where he’s given a young player lots of minutes when he has the option not too. At least not consistently or in the players first season. 
 

Tino was further ahead in his development and couldn’t get a look in ahead of a recently separated and poor form Trippier and an exposed Dan Burn. 
 

Like the look of this lad a lot. But hes not even the same profile as Big Joe or the wingers. I struggle to see Howe sliding lots of minutes his way by choice - and even avoiding him with less choice.

 

If El Khannous is our 4th choice CM and Howe will trust him early - it’s a great evolutionary point.  
 

Hope I’m wrong.  Think it’s a smart pickup and offers us something we don’t have.
