Kimbo
Wharton would likely cost more. Both will be out of our price range either way IMO.

As it is, I’d hate for him to go there and be ruined (or go there and flourish for them). Anderson was class for Man U tbf At least Man U used to recruit the best talent from the league and play them. Man City ruin most of them. TaylorJ_01
I mean, Forest are 17th and he has 1 goal. Not saying that's his game, or his fault, but people sometimes chat like he's the next Maradona. Though I imagine that says more about Dyche than anything

For us to sustain as a top 6 side - we need a new 'purple' in pretty much every area of the side. We could easily lose 10 players this summer that are not good enough for CL. Pope? Ruddy Gillespie Schar? Burn? Lascelles Targett Ashby Willock Murphy Ramsey Elanga Osula All those players and you didn’t include Gordon?

The Prophet
Rate Wharton higher than Anderson. I'd like to see him moved further up the pitch though, he has some limitations as a six.

Funtime Frankie
2 hours ago, Kimbo said: I think the club will be after a minimum of 5 players between now and end of August. Keeper Osula replacement Willock replacement 2 defenders Personally I would try to sell and buy a replacement winger and another midfielder as well. Maybe an extra defender depending on how many end up leaving. I don’t think wingers will be a priority unfortunately, given how much we’ve already spent there. I agree 100% with this. These are the holes we need to fix. One or both defenders need to be able cover at FB would be important. I am going to throw a few names out there for each GK (this is the most important but will need the most scouting from the team) Nio Backhaus- Werder Bremen GK who isn't the finished product. No links with him just my FB ref scouting Elia Caprile - GK at Calgiari who has some strong stats in terms of stopping crosses and saves Osula replacement The only player for this I would love is Rayan Viktor from Vasco. Mainly a RW but can play up top. 5th highest scorer in Brazil last season and only 19 this would be a risky purchase but upside would be immense. Willock replacement Kees Smit is my favourite option, a class player on the ball and another creative player to partner Bruno. The other player i would love is Can uzam a young CM playing in Germany with impressive stats. Defenders Oscar Minguiza as mentioned before a cheap option this window and gives us flexibility as he can play RB and RCB. Antonio Silva from Benfica, against us he played at least two passes that we're Schar like to the winger. His highlights and other champions league matches i have seen show that this is a regular thing. Replacement winger. Konstantinos Karetsas - RW at Genk already 9 caps and three goals for Greece. Antonio Nusa Yildiz at Juve, a playmaker winger but predominantly on the left so would have to sell Gordon or Barnes. Matias Soule another playmaking winger at Roma Edited January 9 by Funtime Frankie
Kanj
Anderson looks to take games by the scruff ala our Bruno, do not see that from Wharton ever.
trx345
Has anyone watched Sean Dyche and Elliot Anderson recently? He is anon. World class against Malta with Declan Rice, but missing to save you from relegation. 2026 Gini Wijnaldum.

The Prophet
I agree Anderson is overrated, but he's still a good player. He's definetly struggled in Dyche's tactical dumpster fire of late, but that's not on him.
