BermyToon Posted Monday at 07:57 Share Posted Monday at 07:57 Very impressive turnaround for his cross for our second goal after he struggled to put in any crosses with his left foot against West Ham. Not that I had any expectations of his forward play yesterday, I just wanted him to keep Salah quiet, and boy did he do that immaculately! The cross was the cherry on the cake. RobS Posted Monday at 09:39 Share Posted Monday at 09:39 Is Tino a better left back than Right back? Some of his absolutely best performances have been on the left - I know we have Hall whos also amazing, but in isolation, is he better at Left than Right? Optimistic Nut Posted Monday at 09:41 Share Posted Monday at 09:41 (edited) Thought being right-footed he'd be better to handle Salah's cutting inside, just didn't expect much going forward from him based on West Ham away. He was fucking immense all over. Great performance. Edited Monday at 09:41 by Optimistic Nut
AyeDubbleYoo Posted Monday at 09:43 Share Posted Monday at 09:43 I've been a bit of a doubter of his but he was immense. He decided that he could just ruin anyone along that left side.
The Butcher Posted Monday at 09:46 Share Posted Monday at 09:46 Said it before, but I do think he could be a really decent CB.
Dr.Spaceman Posted Monday at 09:50 Share Posted Monday at 09:50 He was class, from what I can remember. Going to need to rewatch the match for some sort of confirmation but I can't remember Salah doing a great deal.
NSG Posted Monday at 10:04 Share Posted Monday at 10:04 Dropped the single best LB performance I’ve seen in a United shirt, in the biggest game of his life, against the best player in the world.
Ikon Posted Monday at 11:38 Share Posted Monday at 11:38 I’ve said it before, I think it’s a lot about mentality when it comes to him. He lacks the focus and aggression at times. He doesn’t always seem 100% focused or on his toes and looks kind of too chill and slack at times. This game he was intense and aggressive and fully focused all game and it makes a massive difference. Incredible game from him. Hopefully he can do this more consistently. Mazzy Posted Monday at 11:44 Share Posted Monday at 11:44 Tuchel has found his LB whilst Hall is out I think. I know general England fans will grind their teeth at the thought of a right footer playing at LB but there's very few options and he just showed against the best RW (in the world?) that he can do it. Definitely agree, there’s something in his brain that doesn’t always switch on Hopefully this is a learning moment and he can really appreciate now what it takes to be a winner. Scoot Posted Monday at 12:07 Share Posted Monday at 12:07 Immense performance yesterday from Tino. Just needs to work a little bit on his final ball and he's the complete full back. That's just my general opinion of him and not based on yesterday's performance as he was faultless.
Geordie Ahmed Posted Monday at 14:26 Share Posted Monday at 14:26 He has had a bit of an underwhelming season, which stood out more due to how good Hall has been but my word he was magnificent yesterday Just the complete full back performance Not expecting that every week but hopefully he can get close to that level on a consistent basis
Cronky Posted Monday at 16:18 Share Posted Monday at 16:18 It felt like Tino came of age. He was the player I was most worried about, because he often looks indecisive and reluctant to receive the ball. There was none of that yesterday.
andycap Posted Monday at 18:42 Share Posted Monday at 18:42 I think this lad could be our Owen hargreaves/park ji son. Our mark the danger man type of player. Aswell as a cracking fullback.

I actually think his ball carrying on the left is more effective as he can gas them down the outside or if he cuts in its his stronger foot. Defensively the lad is S tier, then his work rate just endless sprints. Love him.
mattypnufc Posted Wednesday at 08:27 Share Posted Wednesday at 08:27 Intentionally held back on overlaps against W Ham, or just not on it? Either way, was absolutely class at it on Sunday, let alone his defensive performance.

Probably more down to West Ham having 2 players excellent going forward and defensively who can work hard all game (Wan-Bissaka's pace too).

Super Duper Branko Strupar Posted Wednesday at 10:53 Share Posted Wednesday at 10:53 It's mad how well he played. Back to his best and on his weaker side. I don't believe he's a better LB than RB at all as some have hinted. He's just not been at the level he has been in previous years. He'll be back playing that well at RB next year (or this year if injuries mean he goes back across).
