Sir Joel Inton
Do wonder what he would look like in the Gordon experiment up front. He’s a finisher. Not sure he’s got as much tenacity as Gordon in the press though.
Optimistic Nut
I'm not sure he'd be any good up front. I think he'd get crowded out & bullied. Gordon has something about him other than the finishing that can do the role even if its not natural. Keep him where he is, or even on the right he can at least have a bit time and space to come inside. Edited March 11 by Optimistic Nut
andycap
He got motm last night which I thought was very generous with hall joelinton Ramsey on the pitch.
The Butcher
He's scored a few goals lately, but I do think he's looked fairly poor for some time now.
nufc123
Hes totally knackered.
Lush Vlad
I thought he was basically doing doggies all night and did well defensively, playing a game that he is totally unsuited too. Made loads of good runs. Only for Hall to often play an uncharacteristically bad pass to him. He was a decent release valve down the left. Something he isn’t usually that good at IMO and is what we miss when Gordon doesn’t play on the left. I thought he was solid enough? Not sure anyone had a bad game? kenlau88210
He did well defensively today. I wonder if he needs a break as he has been playing loads of minutes lately. I won't be against the idea of starting Willock at LW vs Barca and bring him on if we need a goal
Pilko
He's putting in the yards and doing the basics well. He's 1 in 3 basically so you know he'll pop up with important goals even when he's a little off the boil from an attacking sense, so it's worth keeping him on the pitch at key moments. The College Dropout
Worked his bollocks off. It was an unglamorous shift. He’s played a lot of minutes too.
andycap
Yep since coming from Leicester he's basically been a bench player for us and this season he's started a lot more than usual and you can see he looks jaded in his movement and concentration. but he never sulks and is always a goal threat. KaKa
Best left winger at the club apparently. Gets carried through games, while everyone waits to see if he can pop up with a goal, so it's justified. Will never understand how he can't find more space and be more of a threat in general play, when he has Hall to combine with down that left side. Complete passenger, and hilariously enough, far less threatening than everyone's favourite Elanga.
Ritchie
He's an impact sub and nothing more.

Smal
I guess the problem with playing Gordon up front (who is sadly our only viable striker) is that there's nobody to rotate with Barnes.
Holloway
Been saying it long enough, one trick pony. Good lad, good finisher, sometimes ends up on page 2 he is that beige.

A lot of crosses off his side with no pressure on the player.
lovejoy
Awful today. Just awful.
Gallowgate Toon
He's in bad form. You could absolutely see him shrink in that second half. Either he's exhausted or can't handle levels of pressure.
Andy
Said it before but our wingers consistently look shite because we have almost zero goal threat through the middle. Even though Gordon has been decent up top, he's still relatively easy to mark as a lot of the time he's coming deep to collect the ball. His movement in the box isn't really a significant threat. All you have to do against us is double up on the wide men and we're basically nullified. The games where we've looked effective going forward are the games where the opposition haven't done this and have tried to take the game to us. Nucasol
Huge Barnesinho fan but he’s been gash for weeks. Do think him and Gordon have been run into the ground.
Aiston
He was shite. It doesn't help we can only create from the wings though, so it's easy to shut down our only avenue of attack. We have nothing at all to fall back on.

Well, a lot of people spent the first half of the season saying he was better than Gordon on the left, and so they're never going to say a word when he's stinking it up. Instead they'll go in on Elanga who causes far more problems for the opposition, now they can't slate Gordon anymore. Yeah, he doesn't tend to track his full back or put a foot in with much conviction either.
The Butcher
A bit like Kevin Nolan. Not doing much if he's not scoring goals.

We have no one who can do much damage from a central midfield position either. When Willock comes on he's often in a good position to drive forward with the ball, but he will inevitably miss with the final pass or lose his footing when it matters.
