You are easily one of the greatest posters in the history of the forum, cuba, but I am very disappointed in this.

What man? He knows ball.

Thought was defensively excellent yesterday. Some great blocks, tackles and interceptions. He's looking far more comfortable now and less 'rabbit in the headlights' like earlier in the season.

Really promising end to the season this...

I see his brother (who plays non league football) was with him on the pitch after the match yesterday. Obviously both are Newcastle fans so he must have enjoyed that experience.

If he can get his defensive play up to the same standard as his attacking skills, then he'd be the best in the league.

Eddie has great faith in his and his staff's ability to improve players through coaching. He's prepared to hold them back from the first team for longer periods than you'd expect (eg Gordon). Hall had been held back for so long, that I'd started to think there was a deeper problem. Eddie was prepared to pick a very right-footed youngster in Tino rather than Hall. However, he seems to have a knack of keeping a player in that limbo position without damaging their morale.

It looks like our guy has got it right yet again.

100% a baller.

Without Schar and Trippier. We need someone that can spot a pass from deep that isn't Bruno.

He can go on to become a much better version of Zinchenko. Zinchenko can do the line breaking passes but that's really it. He's a victim 1v1 and makes poor defensive choices.

There was actually a moment on the weekend where Hall was on the ball approaching the halfway line, Bruno came deep to get it off him but Hall seemed happy to keep hold of it & was telling Bruno to move forward. It led to a pass mix-up, iirc, but it felt telling that Bruno wasn't used to it from our left [emoji38]

And good for young Hall too. It feels very old fashioned for midfield players to move backwards to receive the ball with a pass that doesn't eliminate any opposing players. Defenders now need to be good enough to thread the ball forward with accuracy.
