Only watched the first half but he looked a level above that standard. Which tbh, he is.

It's amazing that as Sky Sports and others have been wheeling out the "World Cup starting XI" stuff over the last week or so that no-one that I've seen has mentioned Hall as even a possibility for the squad, it's all O'Reilly or Lewis-Skelly.

Tuchel seems very unlikely to play James LB to accommodate Trent so I don't see any way Hall (save for perhaps Tino) won't be the starting LB in the summer if he's fit and has a strong rest of the season, even the mackems I know think Hall is England's best LB!

Not got traction as he’s not been in any Tuchel squad. If he’s fit and has a run of games up to March, whilst playing in Europe and potentially big showings against the elite sides, the narrative will change.

Would say James / Tino and Hall / O’Rielly are potentially the full backs if fit come summer. MLS lost his place as he won’t be a regular at club level and Tuchel won’t care about not picking TAA because James is the guy he has full confidence in.

Giving him at least 50% of the credit for Barnes performance today.

He's impossibly good going forward and it makes the left wingers job so much easier and affords them more options and space constantly.

Tremendous performance.

So happy to see him back. Think he’ll rightly be on bench mid week, but should be starting all prem games moving forward. Him and Tino are levels above and give us an attacking dynamic that teams have to be worried about.

Hope we don’t put Burn up against Greenwood as he’s probably the best RW out there.

Thought this message was in regards with today's match, which TBH it could have been. What a player!
