Flies under the radar a bit because of Tino’s quality on either side and a stop-start injury record but he’s an absolutely ridiculous footballer. If he stays fit he’ll be starting for England at the World Cup.

Seems faster than when he first came into the team where he looked a bit slow.  Suppose game time sharpens the body and mind.

Brilliant technique also, need more of these types players than power/pace merchants.

If he can stay fit between now and the end of the season I think he's on the plane for the world cup. Wouldn't have been in question if he hadn't been injured for so long ever since his first call up but he's the best young left back in the country, none of this Skelly Arsenal bias nonsense.

He seems to have added confidence to his already substantial range of qualities. There were a couple of situations where he looked badly hemmed in near the touchline, but somehow emerged with the ball.

I'm so pleased to see this development. On the occasions when I produce my 'all-time favourite' Newcastle XI, I feel a bit embarrassed to pick Alan Kennedy from the 70's. This lad can displace him.
