Palace will surely have to sell this summer with a year left or risk getting nowt? I mean he’s served his purpose, they’ve won a cup, comfortably stayed up etc. Parish can’t really take the same hard ball approach again to whoever he deals with.

Palace will be an interesting club to watch for in summer. Very high chance Guehi and Eze will go because of clauses / gentleman agreements from last summer. Then Wharton is the prime asset, where if a club like Real Madrid make a big move, it will be hard to tell Wharton, “No, you can’t go”.

Could have like £200m this summer, but then they have a new DoF as Freedman is moving on, so no sure thing they are successful in their buys as previous years. Could load up on a load of Nketiahs.

The one thing I will say is that Glasner seems like the sort of bloke who would back himself to replace Guehi.

I can imagine him being a ruthless cunt.

A club like Palace would benefit from the revenue to reinvest. Even selling Guehi could get them another 2 or 3 decent players.

If at any second Palace start playing funny buggers, we need to walk away. He's just not that worth it.

in the fairly limited minutes I've seen of him I can't make my mind up how high his quality is, he's not immediately noticeable for me. And Parish is one oily fucker so I'd prefer to look elsewhere

I only want us to sign him to stop others from doing so. It'll be a bit of a statement if we beat several top clubs to the signing of an England international. As for the player himself I don't actually rate him right now, however there is every chance that he's a better player after 6 months of working with Eddie Howe and friends.

That’s a good thing in a CB.

I don’t think Parish’s approach with us will change much, he will look to drag it out until deadline day in the hope a bidding war will begin and he can sell to a more palatable club.

I’ll be disappointed if one year on we’ve decided to play the same game and haven’t identified someone else. Guehi is a good player and premier league proven but we should be able to find someone with more potential.

That's very much taking a gamble for him though, after all in January Guehi can talk to clubs abroad.

If we go in for him again, after chasing all last summer, he’ll probably reasonably think we’re all in and won’t walk away. I would bet this drags into August at least.

Tbh the more I think about Guehi the more I want us to shop elsewhere.
