Sooner it's sorted mathematically the better though! This graphic has just really pissed me off - can’t believe we’re this close to it
Ronaldo
To be in this position with the amount spent in the past 5 years is reprehensible to be honest.

Chicken Dancer
We’re not going down but the fact you can even get a price on us with 4 games left is fucking wild.
Wallsendmag
If you've got a spare tenner to lose it's a canny saver bet. Could almost pay for next year's season ticket with the winnings should the unthinkable happen.
SteV
Looking at Forest’s schedule and whilst we have 8 days between playing Brighton and them, they actually play Mon-Thurs-Sun.
bobbydazzla
I’m looking for reassurance by focusing on where the other teams will be likely to not win, rather than where we might pick up points, not gonna lie. Edited April 29 by bobbydazzla
sanyi75
The results so far are terrible, and the worst thing is that after spending a lot, we are even weaker and our PSR position is worse. What does Howe say about this? He always finds excuses.

I learnt many years ago that this sadly doesn't count for anything because if they are playing well and full of confidence, they can't wait for the next game to come along and fatigue doesn't come in to it. Difficult to say how the Villa second leg may affect them. Win and get to the final, they'll be absolutely bouncing, although may be fearful of getting injured for the final. Lose and they may be flat, although they may want to come out fighting. So basically, anything can happen

Nucasol
I think a lot rides on Spurs. Lose to Villa and Forest get something at Chelsea and they’ll feel a lot more comfortable going into our game and could rest a couple if the Villa tie is close. Spurs get something and they get nowt then the pressure turns back on.

Ask any manager if they’d rather have a clear full week to prepare for a game, or have to play three games in that week, and you know what the answer would be. It obviously doesn’t mean we’ll get a result, but it’s silly to pretend it doesn’t help us, even if only slightly.

Decky
Only thing I'd maybe be worried about is Spurs getting some wins out of nowhere now than they've finally got off the mark. But I'm not sure I can see them getting to 43 points and I can't see us losing all four games. Edited April 29 by Decky

Hovagod
I also imagine that if it came to it and we needed a point, we could get one from Forest, West Ham or Fulham. Shocking that it has come to this mind.
Dokko
I've got wham going down on 40pts. Spuds on 42. Us on 44, with draws to Fulham and wham. Leeds & Forest on 43, we finish 14th.
ianbeany
Not worried as it stands, but if we lose at the weekend and Spuds & Ham were to both win it would getting far too close for comfort like
Andy
Even though Howe is worse than Bruce and Pardew combined and it's entirely possible that the club will sink down the leagues and fold entirely if he remains manager, all four of our final fixtures are games we should actually be getting something from, and two of them are against teams that are somehow even worse than us, the worst team in England ever. I reckon we'll be alright.
Wolfcastle
Pretending everything is alright and people who think otherwise are defective hasn't paid of yet with four games to go, law of averages says its bound to be right at some point though. I don't think anyone is pretending everything is alright. There's a massive difference between that and thinking we'll lose all four games and somehow both Spurs and West Ham will overtake us despite being consistently worse than us by some degree all season
