Fee on the high side but he's guaranteed goals and he really wants the move. He'll be good for 2-3 years and finally we'll have two strikers who can both actually contribute.

Ability-wise he’s not far off Mbeumo imo so 50 odd sounds okay. His age means we’re probably 10-15m overpaying though… which is understandable considering it’s deadline day.

Also it's important that we remember we've been bounced into overpaying because we've decided to wait to the last minute and capitulate anyway. 

 

Expectations are on the low due to the timing of things, I'm sure everyone would be less thrilled if you told them we'd be paying 55m for him at the start of June.

Mbumeo was only 60m so we could have had him for 5m more

Yeah, it’s slightly annoying but no more than that IMO. We’ve got the players we needed in. Anything else is disaster. 
 

Really think it’s worth considering the situation where we hold absolutely to our prices for Isak and Wissa, end up with Wolte/Osula for a CL season and really jeopardise all the progress we’ve made.

We can discuss the pros and cons of the Wissa/Isak deal once the dust settles but right now I'm just so scunnered with the whole thing.

I'm as fickle as the next guy, I'm sure I'll grow to love Wissa in time when he starts banging them in and I appreciate that his circumstances for going on strike were a lot more understandable than Isaks.

Look I'm obviously pissed off about the Isak deal and the undersell, but this changes the outlook quite a bit despite the overpay. These two front men give us a hell of a lot more options. A lot more to be optimistic about.

55m on a one season wonder who's 29 with no European experience and 2 years left is bad business. 

 

But it's all good I can't control what the club does and if people are happy so be it but let's no pretend we haven't put ourselves in this position and the club doesn't love to blame psr for certain woes. 

 

As I've said before I don't want to hear any psr complaints when we do such deals, Bayern Munich esque shit. 

His g/a over the past 3 seasons isn't bad to be fair. More than a 1 season wonder. 

Also looking at his style of play he can see he fits us like a glove. Yes lets debate the price, but you cant deny his stats over the past 3 seasons.
