We should have demanded limited playing time due to his lack of preparation like Liverpool seemingly did with Isak. £55m, 29 years old, and we might only get a few good months out of him this season. PSR wise, this is looking atrocious value.

4 Champions League games (Barcelona, Union SG, Benfica & Bilbao

2 League Cup  (Bradford & R4)

 

Thats a huge part of the season plus AFCON is early, starts 21st Dec until 18th Jan

 

Thats potentially if (they get to the final which is maybe unlikely)

I don't understand the logic people are applying here on his forecasted absence, he's reported back after the next international break which would be 18 Oct vs Brighton. AFCON doesn't start until 21 December meaning he'd play 2 months with us before that tournanent starts.

 

Everythings assumptions and guesswork but using the info the club are reporting suggests he's not missing as much action as some folk on here are suggesting.

Agree. It could have been catastrophic considering we paid a bit over the top because we needed his experience and to give us some Prem quality insurance for a big campaign. If it had been an ACL it would have been a disaster. 

 

6 games we can hopefully manage and it's the reason we brought in Woltemade as well.
