Another one where I can’t blame the club here. Brentford are flip flopping on their stance and if he’s to be believed, have broken a promise too.

So if we're believing Ben Jacobs (suddenly ), he wants to come here, is available for £26m, but we've offered 30. Forgive me for being on brand but it doesn't seem like we're doing much wrong if that's all true.

The Wissa door doesn't sound particularly closed, mind.

 

But hopefully we're firm about Isak too. There's no reason for us to accept below £150m.

 

There's definitely pros/cons to a Wissa deal so I can be chilled about it. But it adds even more farce to an embarrassing summer.
