I don't know enough about "ball" or Sesko specifically but it's definitely the sort of deal we need to do.

We've tried going head-to-head for Delap, Mbeumo, Ekitike and it hasn't paid off so it's time to go back to what has served us well in the past - trust our scouts, trust Eddie's coaching and make the move while rivals hesitate. Whether that is Sesko or someone else doesn't matter, that has to be the blueprint.

Indeed, whilst I admire the boldness of our ambition to rival the top clubs for their targets such as the names you mentioned, ultimately it's failed and we would be far better off pursuing targets such as Sesko, talented, fairly high reputation players which others are hesitating on. We signed Botman, Isak and Bruno under those exact conditions.

Knew it would be this bad. He was fucking rubbish in the latter half of the season but nobody would have it. Penalty merchant.

Selling the useless cunt doesn't tally with us being a disaster I guess.

The only thing this deal has going for it, is the fact no fucker wants him.

Was the same with Isak TBF.

If rumour is to be believed, we tried to sign Sesko and pivoted to Isak.

Sounds very similar to Isak when we signed him bags of potential but still unproven- different type of player mind.

Not surprised if he's supposedly looking for 300k a week. Based on fucking what?

Why is everything so difficult when we are trying to do a deal?

I presume this one is tricky because you'd assume the guy he'd be replacing is still here.

Wissa would be the rotation/backup regardless so no excuse on that one.

I'd prefer Toney & Sesko rather than Wissa & Sesko, but getting Wissa/Toney + Sesko for £100m I think is good business if Isak is going.

Toney would have to take a massive pay cut and pay a massive tax bill. Total none starter.

I feel the club sees Sesko as the priority now, and intention is still to have two top strikers. Isak remains, that’s the plan. Isak leaves, we go back in for Wissa at end of window, or if he’s moved on elsewhere, target someone else.

Wouldn't say it's out of the realms of possibility. He might want to come back to play in the PL, he might want to prove himself at Newcastle after all those loans out, he might not fancy it in Saudi after a season there, he might want to push for the England squad and playing in the PL would help that. I don't think you can rule anything out without exploring the basics first.

We are only bying Sesko if Isak leaves, so it shouldnt be very tricky.
