Our engagement with modern day transfer coverage creates the boredom, apathy and occasionally the misplaced, undue judgement of a player's character. The vast majority of what we read is untrue, and yet we almost can't help but have it begin to shape our impressions.

Best to tread with caution and reserve judgement if you wish to have any joy and happiness when we do make a signing. I get the impression if we sign Sesko, a new number 9 for a record breaking fee, what should be peak excitement and anticipation will be met relatively listlessly by many on here.

It doesn't have to be that way, you do have a choice.

Be funny if they both just fucked him off.

Player only wants more money

but genuinely if he’s said yes to both then he’s not particularly arsed and will pick whoever places the higher fee with Leipzig.

Much better just waiting to go to the paper shop tomorrow morning to buy the Journal.

In nett terms just the same really but minus the constant barrage of nonsense.

Ideally we'd want a local kid who will sign a 15 year contract, capable of scoring 25-30 goals a year who will never whine about wanting a new contract.

Ideally id like to live in a mansion and never have to work again, but life isnt ideal

Sesko, his agent and Leipzig have been doing this since last year summer with Arsenal. They are batshit crazy

I'm pretty comfortable with this going either way now.

A part of me wouldn't mind him going to Man Utd and absolutely tanking his career

I would take immense pleasure in that after all this carrying on.

Have Leipzig accepted our offer yet? If not he doesn't have a decision to make. If they have accepted it he's obviously stalling till Manure eventually bid, which I don't think they will. Stringing Leipzig and Sesko on and also disrupting Newcastle's recruitment by essentially doing fuck all!

Sounded like we were working out a couple of details like a profit clause etc.

It's been days since the bid though. You'd think we would have sorted the terms by now. Other clubs don't have a problem getting deals accepted in quick time. So frustrating!

They probably do, we’re just not sat absorbing every tiny little bit of information put out about their potential transfers.

Didnt it take Arsenal like a month to sign Gyokeres? And Osimhen was signing for Galatasary for about 8 weeks before he signed - in fact has he even yet?

Big deals take time - like StevV says, we're so invested in every hour, day, week we probably think we're the only ones who cant get shit done. We're trying to play with the big boys in deals with tens of millions, they're never going to be done and dusted a couple of days.
