Torn over this. Bad feeling he’ll flop badly wherever he goes at least at first but at the same time there’s absolutely nen decent striking options about that have the potential he does.

Absolutely vital if he signs (I don’t think he will if there’s another PL option) we get a proper backup like Wissa or equivalent who can guarantee 10 goals if they play a decent amount.

Why wouldn’t we? The man is making water into wine on a regular basis and is arguably our best asset

I absolutely agree. It’s just it’s always used for a player some people want on here but the same logic isn’t applied when it’s players those very same people don’t want.

Eh? I’m sure a top coach can improve him if that’s what you mean but as I’ve expressed previously I’d take any striker or winger coming from Germany with a small asterisk against their record.

I really really really don't get why Liverpool would STILL go for Isak when they have Etitike..

Doesn't make sense for any party

For a start it weakens us - gotta feel there is a concerted effort from the cartel to do just that

they lost Jota and want to get rid of Nunez, probably Chiesa and Elliott also. Diaz sold. They need more than just Ekitike

This is the most annoying thing of all.

Yes, 6 cartel clubs have done their best to keep us down, but our owners have helped them do it.

This.

When Stavely was here it felt like there was someone at these premier league meetings actually willing to fight our corner and call the other owners out on their collusion etc. Now? We just seem to be more than willing to sit back, accept the status quo and eat their shit with big bites. We want to keep our best player? No chance, hand him over to Liverpool. Fancy lining up a decent replacement? Nah, not allowed to do that either - cartel have taken all of the players we’ve targeted.

Where does it fuckin end man? May as well just accept mediocrity in perpetuity.

Losing Amanda really hurt us in so many ways

What if we are “going for” Sesko with the aim of expecting Man U to take him instead. Meaning we don’t get a replacement in so we refuse to sell Isak.

surely we don’t lose out on sesko and then agree to sell isak?

The “only wanted Man Utd” tweet is gonna hit our fan base like a ton of bricks

Not really tbh. Most are fully expecting it and have been resigned to it as soon we heard Manure were interested as well.

I had the same theory re: Ekitike, but then I sharply realised we aren't operating on that level mentally as a club, we're just painfully thick.

This all rather exhausting.

Let’s be real though, he’s absolutely shafted us. If you wanted to leave so badly, you should have told us way earlier so we could have gone harder and offered more wages to the players we missed out on. For example do you think Delap (who I prefer to Sesko, given the prices involved) would have opted for Chelsea if we offered him Isak wages, the number 9 and being our no 1 striker? I mean, possibly but it’s less likely.

Bit harsh on Benjamin.
