Ominous update from Yawnstein.

Cartel absolutely owns the market and we haven't got a fucking prayer. Would love for people to give the club a bit of a break in all this but I won't hold my breath.

Who else is out there who comes as close to plug-in-and-play in a Champions League campaign than the targets we've lost out on this summer? We're being cornered into taking the mid-table recruitment route and just hoping Eddie Howe can turn them into an A1 player.

I wonder what delegation we sent to Germany. Andy Howe and his brother.

You can blame then all you want. If we're strung by PSR, it's going to take Richard Bandler levels of NLP to convince a player to come here over an extra £50k or so wages.

PSR needs to be re-written.

Let’s just get out of the race now please. He’s over-rated and I’ve said so from the start. The fact that he wants Man U over us is a major warning flag about his mentality and desire for his career

This. Not seen anything great about him so far. Felt he was always waiting for Man Utd also.

Isak will have to stay another 12 months.

Why? Our targeting has been horrendous, it's as if we've no clue about the dynamics of the market.

Literally the only club in the world to be pied off how many times in one window? Something is clearly very wrong.

Yep. No one wants to hear it, but as long as we are going up against cartel clubs for players, we've got virtually no chance unless we can somehow offer them more money.

Sorry, did the transfer team just learn about PSR last week or something?

This is incompetence on show and the world is watching.  I’ve seen folks talk about how selling Isak would damage the club’s image - this is far worse in my view.  We look like an ugly bloke trying to chat up the best looking women in the club, then looking stunned when they say ‘no’ to our charms.

Even if we keep him, he wants out. Not expecting much other than half heartedness from him.

It’s a world cup year. He has to play well to prepare for it. He isn’t the first player to be denied a transfer. There are many examples out there.

Hopefully that's where out Trillionaire owners come in

If this is this case - which I think everyone believed to be likely - we can’t let Isak go til the summer. We don’t have the time to pull in an adequate replacement as all of the major targets have chosen other options.

Keep Isak and pay the Wissa money and we’ll be fine. Isak will have to lump it for a year.

Yeah because Sweden are going to leave him at home FFS.

They aren't England, they don't have quality. They will be desperate for him to go if he has one leg.

Don't get me wrong, this window is looking like an all time stinker, but I don't really see how it can seen as incompetence when we're making moves for players, and only losing out because they're picking other teams. Would you rather us just go for shitter players?

PSR stops this from happening.  Which we all knew about - well, all of us except the folks running the club it seems

I think we need two questions answering

Can they do more ?

Do they want to ?

Can't be arsed with this. It's so uncomplicated to me and I'll never agree with the opposing view that it's all our fault so I'm gonna tap out.

Have honestly felt all along like one of the more likely outcomes to this whole mess is Isak signing a new deal, one with a slightly friendlier release clause than 150m, and going next Summer.

What's he suggesting here?

Talking out of his ass. His Agent has a highly rated player who will get his big move this summer or next.

I'm sure Sesko will be beside himself he has to spend another 12 months at Leipzig.

It’s incompetence - everyone and their dog knew that several of these players were on the target list for Sky Six clubs.  We don’t have the prestige nor the wage structure to attract them - yet we’ve wasted months faffing about.

You don’t need to wait for the window to open to negotiate, and you don’t need to submit one bid at a time.  The same narrative has surrounded our transfer attempts all summer - it is absolutely ridiculous.

In terms of shitter players - what the fuck has our scouting team been doing for the last few years?  The players targeted (Pedro, Ekitike, Sesko, Trafford etc) have been linked for YEARS at this point.  There’s no-one else out there?  I don’t buy it.  Other clubs seem to manage to find players.
