I would tend to agree tbh, but it's Howe's call. You have to just assume he knows better than us.

When every penny matters for PSR I just done get this one like.

Doesn’t feel like an improvement on Dubravka even…

Disagree. Think he’s significantly better than Dubs. Not saying a great deal that mind.

I'm not sure Dubs is better than him mind, although admittedly Dubs hasn't publicly said he can't concentrate

For me it's meh, but it's not a disaster as long as we have Pope.

There is only 1 good thing about this link, none of the ITK's knew anything about it.

The actual player mind you is a huge disappointment.

Hopefully we don't get him.

My views is that he raises the floor rather than the ceiling.

He's better than Dubravka, but not Pope.

If it's a loan with an option to buy, leaving us with funds to spend elsewhere, I can live with it.

Loan to buy? Why are we doing desperate transfer deadline day deals on the 28th July? We've enough time to look for better elseware like.

I can only guess Dubravka was promised a move this summer for him staying in Jan. And after missing out on Trafford, we're desperate for a GK, and one the club (Howe) trusts if Pope is injured, which the list of who's reaistically available probably is Ramsdale and Begovic.

This is genuinely the Karius play again. Because that worked.

Difference is Karius cost us next to nothing, whereas Ramsdale will be £20m+.

Seems like a waste of precious resources that could be put to better use elsewhere.

Mentioned this in the match thread. Saw it coming from a mile away. I was ready for it.

We just couldn't be going with Pope and Dubravka again this season, and looks like they will need to go out and look at other options in the market again after missing out on Trafford.

A loan with an option is a very fair deal and so we can go out and scout other options and review at the end of the season.

If he comes in and does really well and hits the level he did during his first season at Arsenal, then we keep him.
